Sheesh, sounds like we liberated Corin from them just in time! Who knows what kind of havoc they would have wreaked in his life by now!

I keep seeing "DD" and thinking "Dungeon Dimensions" - several fantasys/comics I know have referenced such.

Ahh, but you're one of the rarities.
I theorise that the humorless Ph.D types were born without a sense of humor, and that they may actually be automatons of one kind or another.
(These usually are bureaucrats of one kind or another..)
The Ph.D types that have a sense of humor are usually wildly unpopular with the humorless types and are labeled 'loose cannons' and 'chaos factories'.
(Heck, I suspect that the humorless types are devoid of soul in some form or another..)

So Hair, does this mean the shoes are going on tour this summer? Is your hubbit going to do a special web page?

LOL!
Dimensional Doors thread, now in it's..16th incarnation as the DD/FReeoples combined thread.
But.. Dungeon Dimension does describe well the original ambience of the thread.
A wilder bunch of pirates and misfits never roamed the threads before.
Maybe since, considering.

Go over to the Religion forum and post a thread about Joseph Smith and you'll get PLENTY of heat. High seventies would be sufficient...open flames aren't quite what I had in mind...

Yikes! I just had an adventure. Went to go help someone load software in another building, and while I was there he mentioned that they needed speakers working on the system, but last time they plugged 'em in, it made the monitor go flukey. I was going to have him show me, and try maybe plugging the speakers into a separate outlet.
The speakers were there, but not powered, so I went to trace the power cable to find the power supply. Got down to the usual mess o' cables when one of them started moving. SNAKE!
SnakeS, as a matter of fact. After I jumped backwards across the room and the guy pulled things away from around the desk, we found another. Little garter snakes, but *shudder*.
I spent about fifteen or twenty minutes up there with the rest of the gals in the building, watching him corner them and take them outside. Ugh! I've handled garter snakes before (been bitten, too, for that matter), but I was NOT expecting that! I'm still feeling kinda shaky.

Looks to me like somebody's got pretty small footses for a hobbit...They actually originated somewhere in the mines of Moria, and are not a direct part of hobbit lore.

I was trained as a nurse originally in a very heavily populated Czech area of Texas...still with the Czech accents and everything.
Used to go to dances in a Czech home, Vrazel's....they just moved the furniture out and everyone danced the (sp) Schodish (way before it became as popular as the Cotton-eyed Joe.) Had my first Lone Star longneck there when I was about 15.
There's a great BBQ place down in Hillje, TX...Prasek's Hillje Smokehouse. This is in Wharton County. I went to Wharton County Junior College for my practical nursing license.
Anyway...lotta Czech people down there.
