Amazon.com attributes an editorial review of this book to Sen. John McCain:
"Dishonest and dishonorable... none of these individuals served on the boat (Kerry) commanded."
Yet, Sen. McCain made these comments when speaking about the television commercials made by the "Swiftboat Veterens for Truth"!
He did not say this about the book, nor is this an editorial review!
Either someone inside Amazon.com did this or the site was hacked.
Does anybody have an Amazon.com phone number?
Contact them and let them know that this reference was not in reference to this book and that they should remove it.

I heard O'Reilly today talking about having Steve Gardner on tonight. It was very obvious O'Reilly already has his mind made up, and doesn't see any proof the Swiftboat Vets are right. He said, "All the proof is on Kerry's side."
O'Neal is going to be on Hannity tonight, and Nightline is going to have a special.

Repeating what I said earlier:
I heard Jerry Agar reading some of this book today on the radio here in Raleigh; if the part he read is indicative of the rest of it, I now know why Kerry brought out the lawyers.
It's devastating.
The part Agar read was about the swift boat commanders' reunion in 2003; Kerry showed up with a camera crew, shoved aside some of the veterans so he could get to the dock to be photographed beside the boat; when asked, none of the swift boat veterans agreed to be photographed with him.
These were the men who served in his unit (is that the right word?).
And the thing that infuriated them most? After he got his film/photographs, he left. He did not stay for the memorial service for those who died.
According to Prager this morning, the swift boat guys have been on Kerry's ass ever since he entered politics but it was a Massachusetts thing. Now that he's on the national stage the rest of the country is hearing about it.
It isn't a new thing and could have been refuted at any time over the last 20 years.
O'Reilly is full of sh!! and he knows it.
What proof! They have not even repudiated the accusations. Seems to me he's a little outnumbered on this. O'Rielly is a spinning bloviator.
I said during the convention -- after that stupid salute -- that Kerry was going to be sorry he made this the centerpiece of his campaign.
Carl Cameron just gave him HELL on Fox; Cameron even said that the Kerry campaign said they'd get back to Cameron with a explanation of all the different testimony about Cambodia -- after they first denied he EVER said it (Carl showed him the Congressional record) -- they have yet to get back to him.
I bet they're busy as bees.
The Dem's say they want a Herry Truman. Kerry is no Harry S Truman.
Hugh Hewitt on this, now (Cameron and Cambodia)
I'd pay good money to hear what Truman would have to say about this poser.
This "editorial" is still there.
I am quite sure that McCain didn't make that remark about the book "Unfit to Command". He made it, as I recall, about the 60 second Swiftvets TV advert.
As such it is totally dishonest of Amazon to feature it in reference to the book. I have written them in this regard.
ping, bump, INTREP - whatever is needed to keep this in front of the voting public!
Where do people write?
O'Reilly does seem to have his mind made up, and he is completely full of it on this issue.
But this issue won't go away, and O'Reilly's position will become ever more tenuous and absurd.
Eventually, he may come around, and if he does, it will be very effective.
I'm as dumb as a stump.
I never bothered to read 1stFreedom's whole post. I was so furious at the headline, I went straight to Amazon, then straight to my comment.
Obviously we are in agreement on this utter dishonesty.

Amazon tries VERY HARD to keep their contact info...besides e-mails....secret.
I did a Google search and found the goods though.

An interesting side note. If you go to Amazon.com for a review of this book, you will find the following statement prior to the section for reader comments:
Important note from Amazon.com: We've decided to suspend our normal customer review policies and rules for this title. For example, we usually prohibit ad hominem attacks. That policy in particular seems to be incompatible with presidential election year politics. Therefore, short of obscenities, reviews on this book are now a free-for-all. We take no responsibility for the following discussion. Aren't presidential election years great? Have fun!
If you go to the review for The Family, you will find no such policy stated.
