Example of the Democrats Hypocrisy

Posted on 08/15/2004 2:51:08 PM PDT by Remington Rebel

Remember when Michael Moore's Fahrenheit 911, just got released and republicans come out of the woodwork to refute claims made in the movie. The first attack the liberals would use was "HOW CAN YOU ATTACK THIS MOVIE! YOU HAVENT EVEN SEEN IT! HOW CAN YOU JUDGE A MOVIE THAT YOU HAVENT SEEN!" Now a new book has been released by John E. O'Neill that is VERY critical of the way John F. Kerry conducted himself in Vietnam, and the same people that were defending Fahrenheit 911 saying you cant attack it unless you see it first are attacking this book before even reading it! Saying, "these people are being backed by republicans, these are the same people that attacked John McCain, the editor of the book is a racist." all of these attacks NO NOT refute the charges made in the book but are ment to defame the men who wrote the book and in so doing undermining the credibility of the source. What I say to these liberals is READ the book! Have Kerry release ALL his military records then we can have a debate on the issue.

Also if Zogby were to be FAIR and Balanced since he asks the question, "Have you seen the movie Fahrenheit 911?"

he needs to ask the Question
"have you read the book "Unfit for Command" Swift Boat Veterans Speak Out Against John Kerry "

Things You Have to Believe to Be a Democrat Today

1. Drug addiction is a disease that should be treated with compassion and understanding...unless the addict is a Conservative talk show host.

2. The United States should be subservient to the United Nations. Our highest authority is not God and the U.S. Constitution, but a collective of tinpot dictators (and their appeasers) and the U.N. charter.

3. Government should relax drug laws regardless of the potential for abuse, but should pass new and unConstitutional anti-gun laws because of the potential for abuse.

4. Calls for increased security after a terrorist attack are "political opportunism," but calls for more gun control after a criminal's spree killing is "a logical solution."

5. "It Takes a Village" means everything you want it to mean...except creeping socialist government involvement in the nuclear family.

6. Disarming innocent, law-abiding citizens helps protect them from evil, lawless terrorists and other thugs.

7. Slowly killing an unborn innocent by tearing it apart limb from limb is good. Slowly killing an innocent disabled woman by starving her to death is good. Quickly killing terrorists, convicted murderers and rapists is BAD.

8. Every religion should be respected and promoted in public schools the name of diversity, so long as that religion isn't Christianity.

9. The best way to support our troops is to criticize their every move. This will let them know they're thought of often.

10. Sexual harassment, groping and drug use are degenerate if you're the governor of California, but it's okay if you're the President of the United States.

11. Sex education should be required so that teens can make informed choices about sex, but gun education should be banned because it will turn those same teens into maniacal mass-murderers.

12. Minorities are blameless for the hatred of the racist; women are blameless for the hatred of the rapist; but America is entirely at fault for the hatred of Islamofascists.

13. Poverty is the cause of all terrorism...which is why the leaders of al Qaeda are typically U.S.-educated and were raised in wealth and luxury.

14. The Patriot Act is a horrific compromise of Constitutional rights, but anti-Second Amendment laws and Franklin Roosevelt's Presidential Order 9066 must be regarded "reasonable precautions."

15. We should unquestioningly honor the wishes of our age-old allies, even when said allies no longer act like our allies and have vested economic interests in propping up our enemies.

16. Socialized medicine is the ideal. Nevermind all those people who spend every dime they have to get to the United States so they can get quality medical care...that their nation's socialized medical community can't provide.

17. Michael Moore, Noam Chomsky and Natalie Maines are perfectly qualified to criticize our leadership, but Arnold Schwarzenegger, Charlton Heston, and Dennis Miller are just ignorant political hacks.

18. John Lott's research on how gun ownership reduces crime is junk science, but Michael Bellesiles is still an authority on why gun control is good (even though he was forced to resign from Emory due to research misconduct over his book "Arming America").

19. Bush's toppling the Saddam regime was a "diversion," but Clinton's lobbing a couple of cruise missiles at Iraq in the thick of the Lewinsky sex scandal was "sending a message."

20. A president who lies under oath is okay, but a president who references sixteen words from an allies' intelligence report should be dragged through the streets naked.

21. Government should limit itself to the powers named in the Constitution, which include banning Second Amendment rights and shopping the courts for judges sympathetic to causes that wouldn't pass in any legislature.

22. "The People" in the First Amendment means The People; "the People" in the Fourth Amendment means The People; "the People" in the Ninth Amendment means The People; "the People" in the Tenth Amendment means The People; but "the People" in the Second Amendment (ratified in 1791) means the National Guard (created by an Act of Congress in 1903).

23. You support a woman's "right to choose" to kill her unborn child, but don't believe that same woman is competent enough to homeschool the children she bears.

24. Proven draft-dodging is irrelevant, but baseless claims of AWOL status is crucial to national security.

25. Threatening to boycott Dr. Laura's and Rush Limbaugh's advertisers is exercising Freedom of Speech, but threatening to boycott CBS's "The Reagans" and Liberal actors over their asinine anti-American remarks is censorship and McCarthyist blacklisting.

That is exactly what I said in a letter to Senator McCain: "How can you denounce the Swiftboat Veterans for Truth when you haven't spoken to one or even read their book?" (still waiting for the reply to that one)

How can Kerry's attack dogs call them "liars" and "hired guns" when Kerry himself has not disputed, with facts, as single one of their allegations?

How can the so called "mainstream" media refuse to interview the SBVT, hell, not even cover the story, when they went after the President and the NG allegations without a shred of evidence or witnesses, pro or con?

How can anyone call the 250 decorated and honorable veterans of the SBVT perpetrators of a "smear campaign" while calling the proven liar John Kerry "heroic?" Why aren't they making even the most superficial notice of his lies about "Christmas in Cambodia?" Kerry was as close to the North Pole as he was the Cambodian border!

How can plagiarists and fabricators like Mike Barnicle get on the Imus radio show and call them fabricators and their book "political pornography," particularly when he hasn't even read it? How can he question their testimony as if he were there? How dare he even be allowed to mention their name with a record of deceit such as his!!??

How can the "mainstream" media make Michael Moore a "hero" of free speech and political piety, when his movies are demonstrably full of out of context quotes, creative editing, and outright fabrications, yet call "Unfit for Command" a political hit piece?

Similarly, how can the "mainstream" media, who put every utterance and unfounded accusations by the like of Richard Clarke and Joseph Wilson on the front pages of their papers for weeks, and make them the stars of the Sunday morning talk show circuit, and "humping" their books, when the bipartisan 9/11 commission essentially called them, ummm, "untruthful" (to put it mildly). And how can the media then refuse to interview John O'Neill or review the SBVT's book?

How can the media call itself unbiased and fair with a straight face?

It's basically a case of "Do as I say, not what I do". The faux veneer of the democrats becomes thinner and thinner.

My extremely anti-Bush ex-hometown paper the La Crosse (Wis) Tribune has been running a large percentage of anti-Swift Boat Vet letters-to-the-editors impugning the integrity and motives of the anti-Kerry vets. Remember now there are more than 200 of these vets, many of them decorated, who stand behind the ads. Why are their views less honorable than Kerry's? And again after Big Media looked into every detail of Pres Bush's service record, why is Kerry's off limits? A co-worker of mine who is in the Naval Reserves reported after going to a two-week summer training camp, that an ex-coast guard trainer, who knew Kerry in Vietnam, had nothing but nasty things to say about him.

Because they are unAmerican, unloyal, lying, prevaricating, socialist traitors. There is one thing that hasn't changed at all since Viet Nam, except to get worse, the media is not on our side.

There is no response because it is the "liberal" 'Main Stream Media' that we're talking about...their agenda is with the left and it is scary how far they will go.
The fact that the 'R' people in power are so mum about this upsets me as much as the press's actions.
