FRIDAY, Aug. 13 (HealthDayNews) -- The use of a testosterone gel in combination with an erection pill may help men with sexual dysfunction who don't respond to an erection pill alone, new research says.
|
The study, published in the August issue of the Journal of Urology, found the combination approach improved erectile function and overall sexual satisfaction for men with erectile dysfunction and low testosterone who didn't respond to sildenafil (Viagra) alone.
"Our data support the potential benefits of a combination therapy with testosterone gel for men with erectile dysfunction and low testosterone who find sildenafil by itself ineffective," lead investigator Dr. Ridwan Shabsigh, an associate professor of urology at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, said in a prepared statement.
"When assessing erectile dysfunction, doctors and patients should consider using a simple blood test to determine if low testosterone is a contributing factor. If the root cause is low testosterone, sidlenafil alone won't fix the problem," Shabsigh said.

All I need to induce impotence is look at a pic of NY's junior senator...
Careful on those *ping* lists - OK?
Not that anybody on this forum needs to worry about that stuff.
I wonder what made me click on this topic. Well, I guess it is an erection year after all.
There was a guy in Brooklyn, who after leaving the doctor's office was all wild eyed. He bought an expensive new car, a new suit, and a fancy broad brimmed hat. He finally arrived home and his family was aghast as all their savings were spent. They asked "Why did you do this?" He then told them "i went to the doctor, and he said I was impotent. If youse impotent, ya gotta look impotent!"
