I learned about Free Republic through an article posted on AOL regarding Red and Blue states. Just curious how you found the Freepers?

My friend, MouthoftheSouth (who passed away this past spring) used to send me articles from FreeRepublic.com; prior to the 2000 election, with notes that I should get on board, so I did.

From a Freeper who has been banned for several years now....came aboard during the 2000 election fiasco....walked through downtown SF with other conservatives chanting "Get out of Cheney's house....get out of Cheney's house."

I was told about FR in an AOL chat room years ago. And then you waited until three months ago to register? ;)
