This is too good not to share.
This morning I received a free copy of The Boston Globe. The Globe -- hemhorraging readers -- has taken to sending free copies to people.
Today's Sunday Globe arrived in its own trash bag, sort of "pre-garbage." I much appreciate this type of vertical marketing as it makes tossing the rag, unread, a little easier.
At last. A Boston Globe embracing truth in advertising.
LOL
Did they also send fish?:)
You're right, and I like it, too.
The Washington Post recently dropped off a free copy in my driveway. I stopped my subscription more than 7 years ago. They've been losers readers every week by the thousands, according to a note in a local magazine.
If it's not too inconvenient, you may want to stop by their office and return it -- "Sorry, not interested!"
Maybe every leftists should buy 5 or 10 copies of three or four of these papers... every day. Then their circulation numbers could go back up.
Are you in your pajamas?
Damn bloggers.
The Houston Comical has just revamped it's look, and littered my lawn with a copy. Same bilge inside, all new appearance.
Actually, every hometown paper I've ever been around has dropped off free copies for non-subscribers occasionally as a means of getting people hooked. Boston glob did this several times when I lived in that area over a decade ago.
Now the real question is whether they're going to count you as a subscriber...
Ah, I haven't gone out to the end of my driveway yet to pick up my Globe, so I anticipate my garbage bag present. In my house, the Globe has one function, as a wee wee pad for my mini doxies. Works just fine.
I cancelled back when they had those phony rape pictures. I found an unsolicted copy on my lawn last Sunday. Justed checked, the lawn is Globe-free. You may have a substitute, or they may be sprinkling copies on the lawns of folks who recently cancelled.
I did get one postcard from them "enticing" me back - NOT!. I don't answer unsolicted phone calls, so don't know if they've tried to call.
The Globe has gone over the cliff on news and editorials but the Sunday sports section is one of the best in the country.
Whenever we're in MA, we always get the Herald. And usually we find there are fewer of those left than the Globe.
When a local rag started dumping a daily copy at the end of my driveway, I called to tell them to stop - I didn't want to be bothered disposing of it.
"arrived in its own trash bag, sort of "pre-garbage.""
Mpls Star-Tribune does the same. They've even taken to positioning people in grocery stores trying to give away Sunday editions.
Free copies of The Washington Post, The Baltimore Sun, and The New Dork Times all go into the gutter in front of my house. They can rot there in their convenient trash bags.
