How about the indecision about dismantling the bomb, or the indecision at the car lot? It isn't playing properly for you?
I saw it. It's pretty funny!
It's getting the point across with humor, which is more effective than outright attack ads. I haven't seen funny election ads ever so this one really jumped out.
I don't love indecision in dismantling the bomb. I think it's ambiguous.
Seemed confusing to me.
Actually it reminded me of an old Scarecrow and Mrs King episode where they were trying to dismantle a nuclear bomb and (housewife & parttime spy) Mrs King kept saying pull the blue wire. In the last few seconds before the bomb was to explode, they did, and the bomb was dismantled. They asked her why she said pull the blue wire and she said she always had to do that for some appliance at home. Something like that. Anyway, nothing in the Zucker ad is meant to be taken seriously because he's the 'Airplane' (Don't call me Shirley) guy.
I see your point though. Maybe you should send them a comment about the ad.
At least he did not go after the priest.
Teresa Heinz Kerry
Thats funny.
don't you mean gin-soaked raisins?
I can't understand why anyone would
want Teresa to be First Lady!!
Ugly, pickled and REALLY stupid.
She's a millionaire and fell for Kerry's Charms?
Shows you can't buy Brains OR Good Taste!
Yes, she really wouldn't be a good First Lady at all. Her late husband, Mr Heinz, would be very upset if he knew it was his Republican fortune pushing a liberal Democrat to the WH. Not that I think Kerry and Mrs H-K will achieve that goal.
>> guess what do you expect from the guy who made 'Airplane!'
Remember the scene in Airplane 2 where Frank Drebin and his girlfriend meet in a bar/restaurant? On the wall are
pictures of famous disasters:
The Titanic.
The Hinderburg.
Mike Dukakis.
Humorous, and needed to make a point to the mtv crowd..
I haven't seen that movie in a long time. Time to rent it, I guess. There are some scenes in it that I still cringe about whether to watch with my teenage daughter. I did catch and tape the last 20 minutes from tv and I showed her when the plane is landing & everyone is running between terminals. She loved it.
