The early voting in Florida has been hot and heavy all week. A constant flow of people at all polling places. I think many of these people are Bush voters. Now the big question.....Will this skew the exit polling come election day? With many more Republicans having voted early. Will the press first call Florida for Kerry based on exit data of Nov. 2 only ...then call it for Bush when the votes get counted....leading us to another Florida fiasco...Media Created...
How do you know this? I thought it was the Rats who had the "early voting" drive.
I don't think we will see exit polling this year.
The Republicans have been pushing the early voting.....I don't believe Dems are rushing to the polls for Kerry...
Sure we will, AP and the networks have established a consortium to influence voters left whenever and wherever they can.
Yes it has, even for the president. I am considering doing this in order to avoid the masses on Nov. 2 but I am concerned that these ballots may come into question or be disallowed if the Dem's have a gripe about them.
I voted Monday. 2000 people per day in Collier county...I've been told...
Texas is doing the same (early voting) started last Monday. Of course we're not a battleground. It has made it much easier for working folks.
I think it could of lead to the early Gore 7% lead in the exit polls in 2000 because the abstanne ballots went heavry Bush and was not likely pick up as much even through they try to poll those votes and add them into the exit polling.
We've had a huge turnout here in Alachua County. They went from five voting machines to 20.
I think, unfortunately, that most of them are Dems (although the first votes in my county were cast by a Republican couple for Bush!).
As for the card, maybe your voting place wasn't lost? They probably don't notify unless there's been a change. That's how they're doing it here, at least.
In any case, tell all your friends to vote early. It's faster, easier, more secure, and just in case there are problems (Dem riots) on election day, you've already got your vote for Bush in!
I think all of the networks, although pro-Kerry, have learned their lesson. In 2000 they declared Gore the winner, then Bush, then Gore, then Bush and finally it came down to Florida. Speaking with my mother out west, may she rest in peace, about the 2000 election and reporting, though a staunch Dem, (Roosevelt dem) she was po'd that the networks declared a winner as early as 5 PM EST and most of the polls in the country were still open. I firmly believe by the networks declaring a winner? it caused many folks, Florida Panhandle included, not to go and vote, feeling it would be a waste of time. I don't see the networks doing that this time.

Yes, I'm sure it was, because our former voting place was the church we attend. It received water damage in the fellowship hall where the machines are/were set up. The lady at City Hall said that our new voting place is another church down the road from us. The cards may come yet, but time is getting short. It concerns me that others in our situation wouldn't bother to check and/or vote.
Too late. sKerry has already claimed victory in Florida!
Unfortunately the RATS seems to have and advantage in the early voting in florida but I am still hopefull Bush will pull it out.
