Weight loss also causes hair loss, but I'm much happier at 50 lbs lighter. Woo Hoo! FYI, those dieting and seeing excess hair in the drain and in your brush might try Biotin suppliments.

Very true...in caucasians constant pulling of the hair into a pony tail or bun can do the same thing. Guys...don't wear those baseball caps all the time either. And don't fry your scalp with the blow dryer...aim at the hair. End of hair 101...from PaMom.

When I was a little kid, my mom used to braid my hair so tight every morning, it was lunchtime before my eyes stopped being slanted shut and I could see the blackboard. Wore my hair braided or ponytail or bun most of my adult life and I still have more hair than any beautician can figure out what to do with. Maybe it would have been even thicker if I hadn't subjected my head to all the hair yanking.
