I am against homosexual marriage. I think that we don't have to re-define marriage just to make Lambda Legal and the ACLU happy.

I think Ted Kennedy should be allowed to marry John Kerry. Beyond that, I tend to be against it.

Marriage is simply a legal contract. Gays should be given the same right to establish that contract as the rest of us with the understanding that churches are under no obligation to condone homosexuality or perform gay weddings.

Why should straight men be the only ones who have to go through divorce, alimony, child support, handing over the car, house and property, wage confiscation and getting cut off from seeing their children?

Shouldn't gays be allowed the same tortures?

Marriage is simply a legal contract.

If that is all it is, mankind is doomed to extinction.

We once knew what marriage is. We have become deaf and insensible to the meaning. That's also why abortion is widespread and fatherhood is marginalized.

No gay marriage...

This is an attempt to "force" their lifestyle as normal. It isn't normal and they will never be accepted as such.

Love the sinner, reject the sin!

Marriage, traditional marriage, is the greatest of blessings.

There is nothing cruel about it, except to people who have become deaf and insensible to its great worth.

Keep in mind that homosexuality was a mental illness until the early 80s when the gays got political and lobbied to have it removed from psychology as a mental illness.

Based on the trouble I see many of their types getting into (including screwing up solid relationships for others), it was wrong to remove it as a mental illness from the abnormal psychology books. They have big problems IMO.

I have no opinion on homosexual "marriage" because it does not exist. Marriage is between a man and a woman. Two people of the same sex cannot get married, per the definition of marriage.

Hyperbole.

Read your history. For the greater part of the history of Western civilization, marriage was about money. It was a contract between families to exchange one thing for another. Everything else is just window dressing added within the last 150 years or so.

but I don't want my tax money paying for it with benefits.

Jenny Guv (MI) got smacked on this issue here.  Something tells me her re-election campaign is going to be selfish fun.

No hope for a senate seat in the near future but these endless "fees" or tax increases just may PO the blue collar tier who takes the brunt of these layered tax hikes, and will hopefully backfire.

With a strong governor, MI would be a red state.  Again.

It's hard to be for or against something that doesn't even exist. Marriage isn't marriage if it's between anything else but a man and a woman.
