This is a horse chat thread where we share ideas, ask for input from other horsemen, and talk about our riding and horse-keeping. We have a lot of different kinds of riders and horses, and a lot to share. In the previous threads we have had a great time talking through lessons, training, horse lamenesses, illnesses and pregnancies... and always sharing pictures and stories.
I always have a link to this thread on my profile page, so if you have something to say and can't find the thread in latest posts… look for it there and wake the thread up!
I also have a ping list for horse threads that are of interest, and Becky pings everyone most mornings. Let Becky (Paynoattentionmanbehindthecurtain) and/or me know if you would like to be on the ping list. As FreeRepublic is a political site, our politics and other issues will probably blend in…. There are many issues for horsemen that touch politics… land use, animal rights/abuse cases that make the news…. Legislation that might affect horse owners.
So... like the previous threads, this is intended as fun place to come and share stories, pictures, questions and chit-chat, unguided and unmoderated and that we come together here as friends. There are lots of ways of doing things and we all have our quirks, tricks and specialties that are neat to learn about.

I wanted to ride today :(
Just got in from riding Harley. My horses are all shedding big time too. The ground is white under the tree where I tied him to saddle.
Rusty is next after he gets done eating. I think Kristy is going to come ride in awhile.

White horse hair is almost as bad as cat hair about getting all over your clothes.

I didn't want to say anything before, and I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but I think it rains alot in Washington. ;o)

Cyn was being a little bullheaded today. She wanted the camera on her. 
Thanks for the pics! Glad the sun came out a little, I can see from the standing water that you've gotten a lot of rain. Looks like the dogs are suffering horribly ;~D We look forward to seeing all of them and you tomorrow!

Well, you'll have to come back when there is less rain and we can actually take you on a trail ride.
I'd like that... I'd love to ride in the mountains!
We did have fun. I rode Rusty in the arena, while Kristy watched and critquied, then she rode and I watched. We switch off so one of us can watch JP while the other rides:)
Tomorrow the weather is suppose to be nice again, I'm going to try to get all 3 rode. Rusty really needs to go out on trails, I don't want to burn him out on barrels and arena work, but lordy it's fun:)

I used to care for a mini that would sell his soul for a coke. We never gave him too much of course, but he would tip up the cup and drink it by himself. Then he would stick out his tounge for more.
lol Honest! That's what he told me. I just looked at him.
he's an ole country vet and probably has lots of tricks:') I still haven't figured out what I saw him doing with a stomach tube though. All I can figure out was maybe to remove air. The put one in and flushed it with a little water and blew it it and then asked the owner if she wanted him to go ahead and tube worm since he was already in. I wanted to ask but he was busy, lots of people around and not my horse.
I don't get tired. I love to look at pictures. You live in such a beautiful area.

How's your riding going? I just got in. Got a workout today. Riding bareback in the arena really helping me with my seat and balance when I'm in the saddle.
