Rush and our local Vicki McKenna have been reasonable and those are the only two political talk shows I listen to.

I'm a big Vicki fan. If you hear "Christopher From Freeport, Illinois," that's me.

Michael Schiavo, there's just something about this guy that doesn't pass the smell test.

More like fifty or a hundred things!

Ooohh, that smell, can't you smell that smell...

Savage said this is personal to him. His brother was in the same condition when Savage was a small boy. He said the doctors told him not to talk to his brother because he is in a vegetative state. Savage said he always believed his brother could hear him. Savage said back then they just warehoused people like his brother until they died.

So did he see her as nothing but an empty shell, something to dismiss, something to allow to rot? I don't think the word "dignity" ever crossed his mind, and especially since he's been with another woman the last few years.

And that's the thing that really gets me. Even if Terri wanted to die, and even if the right things were done legally (they weren't, but too late now) Michael Schiavo wants to be treated like a loving husband in a noble fight, but he treats a defenseless woman like a bag of meat and the best thing you can say about it is that he really believes she's just a bag of meat. Even if he's told the truth from Day One, the man is acting like a pustule.

To the other New Englanders............

I totally agree with the rest of you. Howie Carr has been an embarrassment. Jay Severin is being Jay Severin. A condescending blue blooded elitist who often disparages the Boston Globe and New York Times but is quick to cite those papers when they serve his purpose of bashing President Bush, the war in Iraq, and now those who are fighting for Terri Schiavos life.

Long ago I labeled him Al Jayzerra and turned him off. Nothing more then a well read snob.

Well, that certainly would give one a different perspective. Now I understand his rage much better.

Goes to show that you never know what lies underneath a person's persona.

BTW, I like Savage, just think he is extreme at times, and sometimes it's appropriate.

Thanks for that info.

I'll keep a listen. I usually only get to listen to the first hour of the show as I start work at 3PM. Sometimes, if no one is around, I can listen to the last hour too.

Since this is a thread about radio, I should mention that I listen to Jerry Doyle (WBAP 820 out of Dallas) who has given Michael Schiavo a severe butt kicking for a couple of weeks, and certainly since the feeding tube was pulled. At times I'd back away from it all, because I don't want to fall into a mob mentality, part reason why I haven't commented on this case but a few times, and only in the last two weeks. There are many things I just don't know.

But concerning the things mentioned, they still prick my instincts.

I thought you might find this "interesting", to say the least. Where did Michael Schiavo and his latest woman meet?

I hate to say this, but Sean Hannity proved that he is a lightweight and a sensationalist this week. And he should have done...what?

I am not suggesting he should have DONE anything differently, but he should have learned some legal terminology, and educated himself about the court system amongst other things.

You can't keep repeating "it is what it is" in response to callers' questions. You need to provide a little more insight when you are a popular, nationally-syndicated talk show.

If you don't know legal terminology, or find that you cannot anwer callers' questions, then perhaps a guest who is qualified to speak on the topic should be brought in?

i listened to the following and

i liked:

rush limbaugh,
dr laura schlessinger,
sean hannity,
tammy bruce,
bill bennett,
michael medved,
dennis praeger,
lars larson.

i disliked:

neal boortz, he revealed that he wears only new underwear once, and then donates to charity
michael savage, always angry, puts others down to put himself up.
john kobylt and ken champiou, boring thugs,
bill handel, whom i normally enjoy, failed here. he loved watching an execution in california and celebrated seeing it to his listeners.

Boortz believes she's earned the right to die. Let her wishes as determined by trial be fulfilled.
