LDotter Note on Why No Schiavo Threads
Lucianne.com ^ | LComStaff

Posted on 03/27/2005 5:29:48 AM PST by AmericanMade1776

Comments on the Schiavo story have now become repetitive, argumentative and increasingly ugly. Posters are losing their privileges for attacking and spamming. We feel we are serving our readers by posting articles but not allowing threads for comment. By doing this we save our members from themselves and preserve their ability to post.If subject is introduced on threads that are not about the Sciavo story they will be deleted.

I have to agree with the LComStaff. I have noticed lots of threads being pulled here also at Free Republic due to trolls who are playing on the emotions of Freepers concerning the Schiavo Case. Free Republic also has some very geniunely concerned Freepers who have worked hard to save Terri Schiavo. Of course this thread is just another in a long series of repeitions on the subject.

The Outcome is not what we wanted for Terri Schiavo, but we must rest in the knowledge that she is in God's hands no matter what the outcome.

"For I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from his love. Death can't, and life can't. The angels won't, and all the powers of hell itself cannot keep God's love away." Romans 8:38

President's Easter Message

Easter 2005

For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16

I send greetings to all those celebrating Easter, the Resurrection of Jesus Christ. Through His sacrifice and triumph over death, Christ lifted the sights of humanity forever. In His teachings, the poor have heard hope, the proud have been challenged, and the weak and dying have found assurance. Today, the words of Jesus continue to comfort and strengthen Christians around the world.

During this holy season, we thank God for His blessings and ask for His wisdom and guidance. We also keep in our thoughts and prayers the men and women of our Armed Forces -- especially those far from home, separated from family and friends by the call of duty. May the joy of Easter fill our hearts with gratitude for our freedom, love for our neighbors, and hope for peace.

Laura and I wish you a Happy Easter.

GEORGE W. BUSH

I agree with their decision, too.

Terri may be doing this for us. She is still alive! It's a miracle!

We had assurance that the Bush brothers would uphold the Constitution of the United States and proudly protect all citizens against challenges. The poor weak and dying in Amerika can no longer place hope in their hands. How dare W preach Jesus' word to the people.

First of all who in the world spells America...Amerika????

Secondly, I know of no part of the Constituion...that states "proudly protect all citizens against challenges."

Thirdly, who are you to say that President George W. Bush can not repeat Scripture, and share an Easter Message.

And Last of all...God is still in Charge, and may the Peace be with you!

"By doing this we save our members from themselves..."

That is rarely a good thing IMHO...

It should be obvious to you, but I think I will let someone else explain to you why silencing the discussion and debate on this is not a good thing.

"Saving our members from thereselves"

Pompous, elitist...yes. It's not much of a discussion site anyway. Many thanks to Jim Robinson for not trying to save us from ourselves, the good, the bad or the ugly.

Read the threads on the Schiavvo subject and you will see there is no open discussion unless everyone agrees that Terri should have the feeding tube re-inserted.

That isnt open discussion and I agree with the Lucuanne site on this one, enough is enough.

"It should be obvious to you, but I think I will let someone else explain to you why silencing the discussion and debate on this is not a good thing."

It is because the threats of violence by ardent supporters of Terri's parents toward Michael and the courts could possibily expose websites to legal liability.
