This situation is so lose-lose that things will never be the same. This case will be looked at down the road from vicious realist lawyers and a nightmare will unfold on this nation. Terri is not "braindead." She is not on "life support." She needs to be started treated as a human being, or else things are going to evolve and people are going to criticize what really who decides to live or be taken of life from handicaped conditions.
I won't duplicate what has been said (it is all relevant to how I feel!), but some people are speaking out with misconceptions. People are saying that the Shindlers don't want her to OD on morphine, and would rather her die on lack of thirst. That is just so incorrect. The father was expressing how exhausted he was, and if he had to give up on Terri from lack of legal options, he stated he would rather her be killed by lethal injection. And she barely has had any morphine!
The only thing I wish is to stop her from suffering, whether it be life or death. I wish someone would step in, but if the future holds her death I would rather her die at this very second. She is fighting to live, moaning and crying in discomfort, trying in her limited way to reach out to express that she WANTS TO LIVE.

ROFL!
The little one looks worried......cute picture though!
You're kidding?
Well, maybe you will get a reply from him/her/it. :)
Ahh..... he's sick. My best-friends, sisters, boyfriends, brothers, girlfriend saw him pass out at 31 flavors last night I think its serious.

OMG... where's the defibrolator and my nitroglycerine?
Hit and run vanity by a newbie concerning an opinion that already has 30 threads running. Maybe, just maybe, he/she isn't a troll but it's doubtful.
She's got them.............somewhere.
You're dead meat troll!
Well! Hi there! :)
Hi, Friend! :-)
Uh, no, I'm not. Most troll posts look like this:
[OMG!!!1one! U peple r soooo like gun luveeng and u want 3 kil al the litl animuls ooh u r sooo bad i hate you all u r sooo meen 2 me u suk]
or, like this
[I can't believe how right-wing you all are!! What are you all, addicted to gun powder? Save the trees!! Down with Bush!!]
All that I can see in fullascension's post is what a lot of other Freepers are thinking. I know that many people have already said the things s/he said, but think: Maybe fullascension hasn't ever seen FreeRepublic or any other place to talk about Terri Schiavo. I don't think s/he means any harm. I doubt s/he said to himself/herself, "I'll just log on to the FR place and annoy them all with a Schiavo vanity".
Cut some slack.
Well, I can appreciate if you want her to live at least until we know what she wants (which will be rather difficult if no one can give her water, etc.).
The problem I have with the post is the claim of not wanting to duplicate, when every time I log in, I get the following:
Well, Hi Howdy!
LOL
and there lies the problem
"If you had looked, you would see we are covering poor Terri's story quite fully"
LOL! That really made me laugh out loud.
I actually had to take an FR break because I was getting too emotional about Terri (well, plus I had a major sinus infection), but still, I don't know how her family is dealing with this. What a roller coaster.
Y'know, it's the damndest thing, but I forgot what I was going to say. |
How's that? Getting the feel of life on the job in Alaska?
