"We all watched Terri Schiavo die. The controversy around her case dominated the headlines and talk shows, going all the way to the U.S. Supreme Court, the White House, and the Vatican.
And it's not over yet. Despite her death, the controversy lingers. In Silent Witness, former LAPD detective and New York Times bestselling author Mark Fuhrman applies his highly respected investigative skills to examine the medical evidence, legal case files, and police records. With the complete cooperation of Terri Schiavo's parents and siblings, as well as their medical and legal advisers, he conducts exclusive interviews with forensics experts and crucial witnesses, including friends, family members, and caregivers.
Fuhrman's findings will answer these questions:
What was Terri and Michael Schiavo's marriage really like? What happened the day Terri collapsed? What did Michael Schiavo do when he discovered Terri unconscious? How long did he wait before calling 911? What do medical records show about her condition when she was first admitted to the hospital? What will the autopsy say? The legal issues and ethical questions provoked by Terri Schiavo's extraordinary case may never be resolved. But the facts about her marriage, her condition when she collapsed, and her eventual death fifteen years later can be determined.
With Silent Witness, Fuhrman goes beyond the legal aspects of the case and delves into the broader, human background of Terri Schiavo's short, sad life.
About the Author
Mark Fuhrman is a retired LAPD detective. He is the author of the New York Times bestsellers Murder in Brentwood and Murder in Greenwich, as well as Murder in Spokane and Death and Justice. He lives in Idaho."
Fat change in hell before I let Michael Schiavo be my nurse!
"Michael waited about 40 or so minutes to dial 911. This is something Mark Fuhrman states as a fact in his book."
So does Mark say he killed her, tried to?
What I heard him say is that Schiavo has never really been asked any questions and Fuhrman believes he needs to. Not fluff interviews but a Grand Jury hearing. Fuhrman would not say that he thought Schiavo caused Terris collapse but would only say that Schiavo isn't being entirely honest.
No, but he thinks that he did. he actually comes up with different scenarios of what he think could have happend/might have happend. He does state that it could have been accident and that he is lying about that. But he does say in his final chapter that he think Terri and Michael were on their to divorce, not getting along, and that night they fought and something criminal likely happend. But no proof to say that for fact!
Exactly!
Mark was painstakingly methodical.
I was amazed at how he was able to put pieces of seemingly unrelated and scatter information together to paint a clearer picture.
that is what I thought to. The way he presented it was so organized and thought out. It will be difficult for his book to be ignored by those that matter.
Part of the reason I ask, there was a story in the Dallas paper this past Sunday about John Walker Railey. He was accused of strangling his wife but was acquitted.
His former wife has been PVS for 12 years. As I recall there was evidence of a struggle, strangulation etc. whereas with Schiavo this doesn't seem to be the case from the police reports, the ETM's, hosp. and Dr.s.

You are correct, he got off even though everyone knows he did it.
Thing is unless Michael talks and tells someone what exactly went down that night chances are he will get off on murder here on earth, but if there is no investigation at all, than no one even tried to find out the truth. And that cannot be accepted. Fl. needs to ask Michael some questions and if there is not enough evidance after interrogation of him than we need to accept he will get away with murder, but that doesn't meant they shouldn't try to make a case.
I believe in my heart that Michael is being cold to Jodi. Why has Jodi been so hidden in all of this? Why when she came to the hopsice during the 2 weeks Terri was dying did she get startled and upset when the media tried to talk to her? My guess is Michael has told her if you ever speak to the media your dead!! I think Jodi knows Michael is a controlling SOB and only when she decides to step away of Michael will there be a chance for more things to come out about Terri and what happend to her. I believe Michael has told Jodi the truth and Jodi lives inder a huge threat. One day she may break her silence and go to the cops. I hope that day happens soon!

The misspelling of "perjure" makes it sound as if the [very non-professional] reviewer thinks Fuhrman is bulimic.
I only heard the interview on radio and Fuhrman said he's not ready to say that Schiavo physically caused Terris collapse. He said there was definately an arguement. And that the marriage was obviously at it's end. But he's not sure exactly what happened, only certain that Schiavo hasn't told all of the truth.
More people have died because of Michael Schiavo than have died at Gitmo.
"chances are he will get off on murder"
So you've convicted him already. That's your perogative of course but hardly fair.
As to Jodi, why would anyone in their right mind put themselves up before the public to be subjected to the things MS was including death threats. You've already convicted him, why would she subject herself to people who think like that?
Why'd OJ commit murder when he was livin' the sweet life?
Why'd OJ commit murder when he was livin' the sweet life?
"Why'd OJ commit murder when he was livin' the sweet life?"
Dunno. why?

Put her in front of a Grand Jury.
