Workaholics Anonymous .....

They have a new organization called Workaholics Anonymous. When you get the urge to put in an eight-hour day, you call them up and they send over two government workers to talk to you.

Friends

A little Springer Spaniel,
Who follows him around.
Speaks volumes of his nature,
No better judge is found.
When dogs like you, you’re someone,
Not just an empty suit.
The love you give a faithful dog,
Will always bear you fruit.
If you like dogs that says a lot,
About the soul you bear.
But when the love’s a two way street,
The partnership is fair.
The bond is strong and touching,
Between this man and friend.
God Bless George Bush and Spotty,
To them this poem I send.

Plan B?

Workaholics Day?

Woo Hoo!! ... Plan B!

Grounded!

Bernice was just a worker bee,
But she did love her work.
She loved to smell the flowers,
And never did she shirk.

She found a good patch one fine day,
Began to gather nectar,
She filled up all her pockets,
And noted well the vector.

She’d need to pass the word along,
She’d do the “waggle-dance”,
But she was really weighted down.
She might not get the chance!

With all the weight she carried,
She glided to the ground.
She couldn’t fly another inch,
She’d have to walk around.

She trudged all through the morning,
Quite sure that she would swoon.
She trekked onward valiantly,
Til it was half past Noon.

With her forepaws held around her mouth,
As if they were a cup,
She shouted “Help!” to those above,
“I’ve pollen, and I can’t get up!”

LOL

Good evening, NnB.

I'm sure I will be spending time at the Finest. Maybe I will be able to post a poem or two there.

Thanks for the Workaholic Bee.

I hope you've had a chance to see some of the early poems. It has been interesting to see how Amy's Place has evolved since its inception.

Happy Workaholics Day.

Not to worry.

I have plenty of ink, and I'm not afraid to use it!

Thanks, Victoria. I had a nice day.

Took it easy today but have an appointment with the eye doctor tomorrow afternoon.

I'm hoping to take Marissa and Michael to Chucky Cheese on Friday. School is going to start August 15th. I hope to do something special with the kids before then.

Marissa, Lori and I are going to Ohio and WV the 21st but I'm not too sure that Marissa will think it is a vacation. :)

I have enjoyed this past 22 months (almost). It has been fun, educational and I've met some wonderful FReepers.

I'm keeping my ping list and if I post some poetry on another thread, I will ping you. Heck I will ping you even if I post some potpourri. :)
