Church and State – where do you ZOT the line?
Posted on 08/16/2005 12:42:41 PM PDT by Get_Saved
Laws are currently being debated and made concerning gay marriage and abortion - where is the line drawn between the church and its influence on the state? Bush has directly cited God for his beliefs concerning gay marriage he has NO business imposing his beliefs onto us by law.

The Pres has just as much right to admit he is guided by his religion as does anybody else.</p>
I have noticed that ministers in their pulpits are also not slow these days to advise FedGov. There's no law against that either, although I don't go to church for political advice.

Amendment 1
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof;...
What part of church influence that you site breaks the above Constitutional restrictions on religious activity within our government?
