It is quite the rust bucket. No wonder Jean Francois Kerry was so quick to dissociate himself from ownership of the jalopy. Plus, it's European, another black mark against it with the union thugs.

Here's a great quite from another site:

That's wonderful and just what you'd expect. The vehicle looks so clean and shiny on the outside, but is rusty crud under the facade--just like John Kerry.

Generous of his rich wife to give him this plaything a decade ago--an imported vehicle for a great American.

Some nitwit Democrat will overpay for this jalopy so he can brag that it was once owned by a prominent loser.

Since it's not in his name, the lucky buyer won't even get his autograph.

It's in terrible condition for a vehicle with only 49,321 miles. I live in an area that has the same kind of salt air induced rust. If a car doesn't come from the factory with rust proofing, lots of people get their cars rust proofed. It's pretty obvious Kerry didn't get this car rust proofed when it was new.

That is such a nerdy vehicle. How did I know it would be bright yellow and look like a box?

Although it's not his personal vehicle, does it still have a "to me come from me" power train?

If it does, beware for those "to me come from me" power trains have a tendency to go into reverse at ANY speed without input from the driver.

The national group "The compassionately concerned for the owners of to me come from me vehicles" (CCOTMCFMV) a group of well known Attorneys headed up by John Edwards, is looking into a class action law suit that could pave the way for the owners of "to me come from me" vehicles to reap millions in damages.

So it could be a lucrative investment if one didn't use it for transportation.

There's a much better one for sale on the GSA auction site. It's a 97, has EVERYTHING, plus "water damage", whatever that means.

Plus, it's only got 48,000 miles!

So, you might ask why the US government is selling a Land Rover? Bet you didn't even know they purchase such things!

No idea. What I find funny is that Jean Francois Kerry was so proud of "his" SUV when he was talking to the union thugs in Detroit, only to deny owning it when talking to the enviro-whackjobs, then when it's up for sale, it turns out to be a foreign SUV, which took jobs away from union automaker thugs!

Did you live on a deserted island for the entire year of 2004 by any chance? Just wondering since you are asking such a question!
