It is just that the movie is propagandistic nihilism that I don't care for. Now the relationship between George Tackay and Artie on Howard Stern, that is interesting; I could listen to that for hours.

The danger of this movie is that it indicts society as hateful and homophobic, an old liberal agenda ploy.

You're quite right. When I studied Shakespeare years ago his respect for "the natural order" of things became clear. When the uncle murdered Hamlet's father to become King, then married Hamlet's mother, it was an overwhelming violation of the natural order. It inexorably culminated in a bloody massacre in the last scene. Society has approved of that view for thousands of years.

We are now dangerously close to legislating a 'politically correct' society in which all human cultural survival lessons learned over thousands of years will be trashed. We should tolerate homosexuals and respect their contributions, yes, but their sexual interests are a violation of the natural order of human procreation. What the queers call 'homophobia' is simply a psychological mechanism that gurantees survival of the human race.

Where can this stuff lead? It reminds me of Tom Lehrer's song "Oedipus Rex" and where excessive love for one's mother can end up:

"From the Bible to the popular song,

There's one theme that we find right along,

Of all ideals they hail as good,

The most sublime is motherhood

There was a man, oh, who it seems,

Once carried this ideal to extremes,

He loved his mother and she loved him,

And yet his story is rather grim.

We all know how that little exercies in mother-love ended up!

How about this solution?

People with homosexual attractions can remain celibate.

People with homosexual attractions can commit to living a heterosexual lifestyle, marry, and remain faithful.

People with homosexual attractions may choose to live a homosexual lifestyle and do so in safety, but without forcing society or the Church to accept their choice as deserving of the same protection and blessings rendered to heterosexual unions.

So be good to your mother, now and then have a chat.
Buy her flowers or some candy or a brand new hat.
But maybe you had better let it go at that...!

Golden Globes are on tomorrow night. I won't be watching the first of the award fudge packing celebrations. I won't advocate a boycott, because viewing is a personal decsion. But, I beleive all the award shows will be dramatically down in viewership. The choices for awards this year are almost universally lousy and tasteful to the Nth degree. Left-wing, liberal, hate America, hate Jews, Democrat "Hollywood" has gone nuts!!!

Through my Navy career, I spent probably 95% of my time with men, and not once did it occur to me that another man's bare hairy ass was attractive or sexual. But if a squadmate had a bad day in an airplane, where his life was in question, and he brought it back, you think I wouldn't hug him?

I worked 17 years on the drilling rigs offshore. The only two things I had affection for was the helicopter that would take me back to town where the Norsk women were and one particularly fine Norwegian nurse (of the female variety) that worked on the rig with us. Yes, I have held a man that was busted up from an accident and in intense pain. Our masculinity was not in doubt on the drilling rigs.

What is it in this story of two cowboy pals in 1960s Wyoming who find themselves in lifelong love -- yet go on to marry women -- that elicits this response from heterosexual males?

Maybe the unspeakably ugly and barren aesthetics of two guys kissing one another? Or, better yet the revolting image of two men involved in intercourse without complementary physical attributes? And, that in addition to this hideous incongruence, is added the additional incongruence of the penetrator acting the role of male, and the guy on the taking end acting the role of female?

I doubt you will see anyone who worked oil rigs or flew fighter jets coming out of the closet anytime soon.

The whole Gay agenda is really sickening.

Well yes, a persitent mutation would generate their disorder now wouldn't it? But why would this mutation persist if its trait were extinguished everytime by un-natural de-selection?

The best thing to do with this movie is make a joke out of it.I would like to see someone take scenes from a John Wayne movie and insert them in various spots to show how REAL MEN feel about this! There is no such thing as homophobic.Heterosexuals are the majority, therefore the standard. So the correct analysis is "Heterophobic.

Haven't seen it, but from what I've heard those guys aren't even cowboys ... they're shepherds. Gay shepherds doesn't sound sexy enough to sell tickets I guess.

But as someone else pointed out once already of FR, if they were really straight and that hard up in the first place they wou'd've turned on the sheep before they turned on each other.
