Sell crazy in Seattle.

They're giving it away for free up there.

Is that his knee I see already on the ground? Just stirring the pot. I was for the Steelers.

No, that is someone underneath him.

Looks Half-in, Half-out to me...

If any part of the ball breaks the plane of the end zone it is a touchdown. So half in, half out is a td.

Your picture shows the touchdown exactly as it occurred, IF it did occur. I thought (and I'm sure the ref thought) that the ball tucked under his hand crossed the line as he flew through the air. By the time he was on the ground the ball definitely was not over the line.

I would never accuse you of a photo shop, BUT I clearly see the ball in your picture and it is well ahead of his hand. On tv, I distinctly remember the ball was barely or not visible, and it was well hidden by his hand. Now you have a photo with a nice light brown football and even its bright white stripe, in plain view.

Here is the proof that your picture does NOT show the ball going over the goal line...not even close:

If any part, not the whole, of the ball passes the plane of the field side of the goal line it's a TD. The goal line is in the end zone.

I think we've found the problem. There are too many people who don't understand the "breaking the plane" concept. Sorta like that idiot Billy Packer last night who, at the end of the game, couldn't understand why the Tar Heels didn't put Terry back in.

Terry had fouled out about four minutes earlier.

I see just the opposite. No score. Thanks for posting this!

This photo was pulled from Fox Sports ... remember, Ben was not backed away from the endzone before he hit the ground.

The part you are looking at that I think you consider the laces on the ball are in fact the forearm padding of the Seahawks linebacker. In live action (zoomed on TiVo) you will see the ball but the laces are turned away. You can see the stripe around the circumference, but not the laces. And zoomed in, you will see that from at least the same camera angle you show here, the ball did not come near the front of the goal line.

Must have a really uneven tan on the right side of his body cause that arm is awfully brown...like a football.

Many people posting "opinions" don't know the NFL rules.

One idiot was complaining about Hassleback not being given a 1st down when he went into the QB slide (I think in the 1st qtr). The dink didn't know the QB slide rule.

Same goes for the push off. The ref HAD to flag it. It was on an island RIGHT IN FRONT OF HIM.

A win is a win. Whether they had to cheat to get there or not doesn't matter.

The first photo is irrelevant due to the angle ...

the second?

When did Ben have laces stitched onto his arm? lol

Doesn't look like anyone has possession of that ball. Clearly a fumble.

I assume you forgot the (/sarcasm) tag?

A photograph taken at the exact same time as that blurry screenshot proves that it is Ben's arm, and not the football, that breaks the plane of the goal line.

"Questions?"

Yeah, how come he's got his knee on the ground?

Correction: forearm padding of the Ben...I knew it was one of there forearms, had to go check. Heck, even the QB who had his eyes a foot away from the ground could see he wasn't in, and said so.

The picture on the right is too blurry and has too many drawn lines to tell anything.

The picture on the left, based on the fact that Ben's right elbow has fully crossed the line, and that the lower tip of the ball is just behind the elbow, clearly shows that the ball broke the plane.

Touch down!

Steelers win. Seahawks whine.
