Start with spelling it correctly.
ANWR, not ANWAR

Have we become so lazy that he not only can't go to the school library for a little honest research, he can't even find it himself on the Internet?

Canada is number one.
Mexico and Venezuela are in the top five. I assume Saudi Arabia and Kuwait would be the other two in the top five.

Mexico 2...not a huge suprise.
Russia is barely seen...that's suprising.

One thing, though. Most of the oil we get from the Mid East is from the cartel OPEC. That means we don't go directly to one country or the other for their oil. We get it from their pooling of resources. I am pretty sure this is true and if it is, then that means we should not say we get oil "from" any particular mid eastern country because what we get comes from all of them.

Why not learn for yourself and teach your son how to do an internet search?
All three of the following google search string yield the same top result:
- import oil top
- "US imports" oil top
- "US imports" +oil +top

9 United Kingdom
10 Ecuador
