I just heard on Fox News that Dennis Weaver has passed away. Anyone else hear it? This is number 3. Daren McGaven, Don Knotts, and now Dennis Weaver.

I suppose Hollywood will try to find some no-talent replacements.

Yep, waiting for #3. Sorry to see it was him. He gave my faimily many hours of very good entertainment.

McCloud was a favorite with us, too. There isn't much worth watching on TV anymore....except "24," which is on now!

One of the best movies I ever saw was with Dennis Weaver driving through the desert in his car with a driver in a truck trying to kill him. I can't remember the name of the movie, but I could watch it over and over again and never tire of it. It's frightening, and Weaver was so good. Love the ending!

Either that or he spent his money foolishly.

That was 'Duel'. I agree on the ending- I particularly appreciated that we were spared the ubiquitous Hollywood gasoline fireball.

I think that was Stephen Speilberg's first directing debut

I never dreamed it would've been Dennis. I thought maybe Glenn Ford.

Thanks so much. I just googled it, which is what I should have done in the first place:

1971 Made TV-movie debut, "Duel", directed by Stephen Spielberg

What's amazing, is that it certainly holds your interest, and he is really the only character in it!

I believe you're talking about "The Duel." Weaver is in a little Dodge Dart, a guy driving a big Autocar truck is trying to kill him. All you ever see of the guy in the truck is his hands. Made by a talented guy named Spielberg...

Well I have news for you. Just about everyone in Hollywood is a liberal. So what? I'm sorry he's dead just the same.
