WASHINGTON (March 17) - Jessica Simpson loves President Bush. She's just not a big fan of Republican fundraisers. The Hollywood starlet and tabloid cover girl was in Congress on Thursday to lobby for Operation Smile, a nonprofit organization that provides reconstructive surgery to children with facial deformities. Everyone was asking, however, why she turned down an invitation to attend a Republican fundraiser with Washington's top star, the president.
"We went back and forth, and we could never get the details worked out," said her father and manager, Joe Simpson. "When it became obvious that it was not just a state dinner, it was more of a fundraising event, that is the wrong purpose of why we are here."
Joe Simpson was adamant that his family are "big supporters" of the president.
"We are huge fans of him and of his family, his girls," Simpson said. "Jessica loves the heck out of him."
In fact, Simpson said they were still trying to squeeze in a meeting with the chief executive.

That is, hands-down, one of the funniest pair of pictures I have ever seen.
I knew that headline about Jessica "snubbing" Bush was inaccurate. Just more trash from the so-called news media.
AOL selected those photos, not the AP.
I see they've labeled the combined pictures "Pop and Circumstances."
That's so you can tell that AP is definitely a serious news organization that respects the office of the President of the United States.

You are right, my mistake, it was AOL not AP who picked the pics.
When we thought that the defeated liberal media cannot go any lower in their hate to President Bush, they prove us wrong. Very despicable of crAP by posting these totally non related pictures of President Bush and Jessica Simpson, however crAP is making their insinuation very clear.
It would be best if the Bush WH stayed away from any of the Simpsons. They've pretty much blown away any veneer of wholesomeness,
It's unfortunate, but understandable from the Simpson perspective, that she waited for the buzz to die down before starting it back up again.
She loves bush.....they're talking about the President, right?
