I could, but then I would have to figure out how to wash my brain to erase the image.

Yeah, there is no clear "star" this time - just five pretty good singers, none of whom are headed for greatness. Katherine would make the best album, but she just doesn't connect with her audience at all. I get the impression that in real life, she might be a clone of Cordelia on "Buffy the Vampire Slayer". ;) At least she didn't wear that yellow dress that made her look like the Mountain Dew Blimp. I'll give Chris credit just for doing a Shinedown song on American Idol. He's probably going to win, but he needs to front a popular band, not tour as a solo artist. Elliott is destined for Broadway. Paris is still a few years away from being a viable performer. And I really don't get why Taylor is still on the show.

Probably because he can sing and is a great entertainer. I can't wait for his CD's to come out!

I don't know if I would buy his album but he would be perfect for Vegas and I would go see his show.

To: I'm ALL Right!

According to Dial Idol, Paris and Kat are almost too close to call. (Last week they had Paris on the bottom and Kellie went home but I don't think they took the 2 numbers into consideration) That also happened a few weeks about with Bucky and Ace. I hope they have it right this week.

The other "indicators" are as follows:
Tradesports -
To go home (bids for $100 pay-off)
Paris - $68
Katharine and Elliott (tie) $18
Taylor - $2.80
Chris - $2.70

AOL Poll - (from BEST to WORST)
1) Katharine (almost always on top)
2) Chris
3) Taylor
4) Elliott
5) Paris (almost always on the bottom)

By all rights, Paris should be sent home but she should have gone home last week. I'm pretty sure this week will be her week to leave, but I'm still a bit worried about McPhee.
I'd hate to see the next week or two without her.

Does anyone know if they have had Billy Joel week in the past?

I have no idea, sorry. :(

Do you ever listen to Roe Cohn on WLS?

nope, don't even know who that is.

Of what song do you speak?

Billy Joel would be a great "week."

He has tons of hits and could really work well with the contestants.

We should write to Simon & Simom (Cowell and Fuller) and suggest it.

I could see Taylor rock with "Only the Good Die Young!"

They did a Billy Joel week a couple of years ago. I really dislike Billy Joel songs, so here's hoping they never do another week of his stuff again.

You are right about Elliot singing boring songs but his voice is so nice it makes up for it.

I think Paris was exposed as being immature (vocally and performance-wise). But in a few years she will be dynamite.

I agree Kat's one good song kept her alive.

As I keep telling my wife, Taylor and Chris just have to keep it in the building, due to their huge fan bases (I think when Chris was in the bottom 3 was an abberation). We have a coming clash of civilizations: Classic Rock/Rockabilly vs. Alternave Rock/Metal.

Oooh that would be a good song for Taylor. Yep, Joel has lots of good songs out there. He would be good to have on the show, if he can stop getting drunk and crashing his car all the time.

Wait...am I talking about Billy Joel, or Paula? Oh, silly me, it's both of them.

I think you're on to something!

Paula could date Billy and they could "crash" together!
