I was flipping through the channels and stopped on what looks like live coverage of riots in Mexico (Texcoco?) on a Spanish network.
My Time Warner lineup says my channel 50 is Univision. On the screen there is a TV 4 up in one corner. Do any Spanish speaking FReepers have access to this channel?
I have seen scenes of beatings in the streets, lines of riot police, groups on tops of buildings waving machetes. . . very scary stuff.

Just a wedding reception, folks. Move along. Nothing to see.....
What's got them riled up, today?
It's all in Spanish - heck if I know.
soccer match.
Tresdemayo, the day... umm..

God, those babes are hot.
There were shots of streets blocked with burning tires. . . . mobs everywhere. . .
There've been riots over working conditions at mines owned either by the govt directly, or by the "old money" families who control that pathetic country.
Es mi programa favorito.
Any spanish speakers in the groups?
Western Union down?
That could be it.
The riots were in Puerto Rico. Government shut down and many government workers get no salary, and now there is no work. I am unclear about what the issues were that shut the government down, but I expect budget stuff. We've had government shut downs waiting on legislation to OK budgets here. But I expect it's more serious in Puerto Rico. I watch Univision all the time. Addicted to telenovelas. Usually watch one each night. It's a good way to pick up the language. I can't SPEAK spanish, but I understand it pretty well.
Texoco? Im not sure...the ones that sound\look like that are..
Oaxaca
Tlaxcala
Tabasco?
What I was watching, within the last 30 minutes, was "En Vivo", and I assume that means "Live" and the location was Texcoco.
