Why is OReily trying to rehabilitate the left?
He is revocal against the Federal Marriage Amendemtn with what-her-name chenny's "how i like to have sex" book,
He is pandering to the democrats,
All I have to do is see the promo for his show to know that 8 pm is a tv free hour.

O' Reilly, has his own agenda, and I suspect he's trying to get in the singer's pants.

"Why is OReily trying to rehabilitate the left?"
Because OReally is no conservative. He's a look-at-me blowhard. He's stupidity re: the oil companies proved that, if nothing.
He just looked conservative because the Old Media was so bad for so long.

ditto....How are we punishing her?????????

The Dixie Sluts need some money so they've churned out a new CD based on their standard formula. Yawn. The boycott continues. Dont buy the CD. Dont download it from iTunes. Hit 'em where it hurts - the bank account.

The morning news shows providing a venue for yet another Bush Basher? shocking!!!!.
The Dixie Chicks are talented, no doubt about it. I agree with O'Reilly, " we have a right not to buy their records". I have not bought their records!! Not because of their lack of talent, but because I am "voting with my dollars". Why support this attitude? Entertainers, whether in sports, screen, or sound need to remember the buying public makes buying decisions based on any number of considerations. If you are going to make you feelings public, as the Chicks have, you need to live (quietly) with the consequences. The Chick have insulted their fans in the months since this episode by expressing their anger toward us. We didn't cause this.....you did. Your fame gave you the soapbox; your ignorance and self centerednees took it from you, not your fans.

Laura Ingraham played a clip a while back of Susan Sarandon (on Oprah or some such show) talking about how she believed the Bush administration was tapping her phone. I laughed out loud when I heard that. These egomaniacs actually believe that the leader of the free world actually gives a hoot about what they are saying.

Couldn't say it better...

The apple polisher Susan is a has been actress, over the hill and put out to pasture. She look like she's been rode hard and put up wet quite a few times, and is now just an old nag. Good riddance to her.

"Natalie Maines has paid the price for her remarks. Her life has been threatened and she remains under siege. That is wrong as well. The woman has a right to believe what she wants to believe. You have a right to reject her beliefs and not to buy her stuff. But to punish her further is not in the spirit of America"
Looks like O'Reilly is really buying into this victim status card Maines and the Chicks have been trying to play. I remember them whining about how no one in country music came to defend them and then BTW they were switching genres because no one in country music had any talent anyway.
So what are we all supposed to do now and how have we been punishing her if it's by not buying her CD? And since when did Bill become a music critic?

When the Dixie chicks hit the scene I really liked them for what I saw as a new, original sound fusing country and rock by three very talented female musicians. They didn't hesitate to show their instermental chops and Maines had a good voice. In their last album and the first single from their current album they have become the same overly produced, music by the numbers pablum that most other current mainstream music is. Sure the songs are OK and the performance is studio perfect but you feel as if you've heard it all before. Also, you can anticipate every lick and chord change two bars before it happens because it's the same formulistic pap as the last and next song you'll hear on FM radio.

Yes, I'd make a point of looking disgusted the whole time, keeping my legs crossed and my arms folded in my lap.

"I hate to admit it, but I really like their rendition of Stevie Nicks' "Landslide". "
Ugh ;) You should try the Smashing Pumpkin's remake of "Landslide." It's better than the original and blows the Dixie chick's version out of the water.
