Thanks for asking! The young man showd up on time with his folks. We all took lots of photos. After I spoke with the boy about safety ("Greg, whom would you say is the most important person in the world?" "Your daughter?" "Good answer, Greg! Have the most important person in the world back in my house by 1:00 a.m."), we sent the kids on their way and had a very nice dinner with his folks.

The next thing we knew it was 10:00 p.m. My daughter called just after 11:00 to say that they were coming home. The boy felt ill since after the rubber chicken dinner (this has happened before). He stayed out late with his buddies (poker players) Friday night and then got up at 5:00 a.m. to make it to his golf course part-time job where he worked in the sun until 2:00 p.m. He may have been dehydrated from all that. So the evening ended a little early, but everyone is safe. I actually didn't have any qualms about this boy. He and my daughter are at right about the same point in their dating experience and she knows how to breack fingers if anyone tries anything (but she did look sweet and beautiful in her gown). I'm a lucky man.....

Glad to hear it! He sounds like a good kid, and so does your daughter.

Your daughter sounds a lot like mine. My baby girl(almost 21) was taught by growing up with a brother, how to handle a guy if he tries to get too friendly.

Anyway, it's always a sigh of relief when the youngins come home. The boy sounds quite nice, which means your daughter knows how to pick 'em. And I've found that it really lets your daughter know you care if you check up on her guy and hold him accountable a bit, even if she complains. My daughter chose her high school beau well, too...

"My Dad was "cleaning" all his guns"

LOL,
The first time I visited my (then future) wife's family farm, her 5 brothers took me shooting out at their backyard rifle, pistol, and shotgun range.

The memory of this has provided many smiles throughout our 23 years together.
