You think I'm strict? Try talking to her dad. It's rather funny, she says any time she even mentions a guy's name from school, he gives her "the look". "Who is that", "do I know him???" She's only 13 but I feel grateful that he's so protective. It will do her well.

dating is looking for a marriage partner

I agree with you there. I didn't start dating until I was 19. But then I never did find that marriage partner . . . must have gone about it all wrong.

We have very different stories then. I married at 17 and remained married to someone very different for 25 years. I would prefer to go the route of my eldest who waited and married someone who had similar interests. That is what I hope for my youngest. I think it should be a requirement, at least wait until you're 25!!

So, you didn't date until 19. Did you think that was a bad thing? I have one left, what would are your recommendations based on your life?

Is this from personal experience? I've done both. One went well and one didn't go so well. I'm really hoping for the best on the third one.

I'm here.

Another average week, EXCEPT for yesterday. (I rarely have a bad week anymore, at least work-wise.)

But yesterday, after the Zarquari announcement came, the owners wife and me had some (political) words. And for the FIRST time since I have been there (about 6 mths. now, SHE, not her husband, was less-than-nice to me!!

It started with her standard "the war was not worth it", mantra. That led to "over 10,000 of our kids have been killed or maimed, for nothing!!". Then"how will Zarquari's death change anything"?

With each response from me, supporting the conservative position, and the WOT, her anger grew. It peaked with me saying "you can't defeat terrorists by sending friendship cards, flowers and getting together for a group hug, and also when I suggested that "if they ever do find WMD's ,the ENTIRE liberal platform will collapse like a house of cards"!!

After this, and after her talking to someone on the phone who must also have been conservative, she kinda took out her frustration on me. But she left for lunch soon after and when she returned, she did not start any more political discussions with me(she started ALL of the ones before!!)

Other than that, it was another pretty good week. On my other job today, I worked on a VERY difficult set, which had been given up on be 2 previous techs, and I FIXED it, which pleased the boss immensely!!

oh bummer!

so sorry for this episode.

but we all know.. liberals are liberals are liberals are liberals.

There are some that truly think & others that merely spout off the "talking points"

Glad you are here with us know to get your energy (conservative energy that is) restored.
