NEW YORK (Reuters) - Diamonds are no longer a girl's best friend, according to a new U.S. study that found three of four women would prefer a new plasma TV to a diamond necklace.
The survey, commissioned by U.S. cable television's Oxygen Network that is owned and operated by women, found the technology gender gap has virtually closed with the majority of women snapping up new technology and using it easily.

Thank you God!
Hmmm....unfortuantely, I seem to know all of the 25% that prefer the diamond.
I dunno -- I would think wearing a plasma TV would be a bit uncomfortable.
I'd much rather have a woman who likes diamonds of a large screen tv. Do I want a lady or a couch potato.
And 9 out of 10 women would prefer an autographed picture of Pissant to the necklace or the plasma TV.
The common trait between diamonds and plasma TVs is that they are shiny. Therefore, I have more evidence to support my hypothesis that women are just attracted to, and easily distracted by, shiny things.

AHA! Phase 2 of my master devious plan is coming into effect. First, convincing women that their sexuality was the same as a man, result: Women becoming sluts, resulting in free, easy, sex everywhere! Phase two: Convincing them that Electronics are better than jewelry! Phase three is next: Convincing them that leaving the toilet seat up is more sanitary and aesthetically pleasing than leaving it down!
Well, that goes without saying. :-p
Did you say something? I was distracted by something on the Oxygen Network on my Mitsubishi Diamond Vision Plasma Screen.
Apparently men have been disguising themselves as women for the purpose of throwing off surveys.
I'd rather have one of these:

...but then, that's just me.
Are you married to Walter Williams?
LOL...I have always joked that my girlfriend is a crow...always attracted to shiny things. Good thing I met her wearing this polyester leisure suit!
So, I could have proposed with a 42" plasma TV instead of a 1.14cr VSSF diamond?
Son of a .....
I'm with you on that one..
The Hippie and Feminist movement already did this for us. While it may sound great to men everywhere the consequences of this have been bad. There is no such thing as free easy sex. STD's are up, abortions are up, adolescent and pre adolescent sex are up (slightly lower now than in the early 90's but still way up from 30 years ago), Sex Crimes are up, acceptance of alternative sex/ lifestyles is up.
