John Lennon and George Harrison couldn't be reached for comment... My dream is for Paul and Ringo to go on tour with Eric Clapton.

How about Dire Straits but ban them from playing ANYTHING from "Brothers in Arms."

Legendary "The Jam" and "Stone Roses"?
Never heard of them. How could they be "legendary?" You have to be a household name for that.

I see your point...Slowhand was a huge influence on George's music and viceversa, and I am sure he can play George's parts just as well. Now, add Julian Lennon (for the voice and physical resemblance to John) and you have yourself a semi-reunion.

Maybe they're "legends" in the U.K. (that's where this poll is from). Still, the Spice Girls?????

Don't forget George's son Dhani (he plays guitar, but I haven't heard him sing).
Eric Clapton, Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, and Dhani Harrison (along with many others) did play together during a show called "Concert for George." I saw it on PBS and bought the DVD, which is very good. I liked Julian's first CD, but he seems to have disappeared.

Maybe they're "legends" in the U.K. (that's where this poll is from). Still, the Spice Girls????? With maybe two or three exceptions (Grateful Dead, Eagles and a couple others), the most legendary groups in history have been from the UK. Unless this poll was limited to people under 20 years old, I don't see how they ever came up with the Spice Girls.

Back in 1988 I saw Clapton play and he had Mark Knopfler (sp?) of Dire Straits touring with him and doing back-up vocals and that concert was absolutely incredible!

That would be a good duo to listen to. I am waiting for Rush to start touring again, personally. I know, they haven't broken up, but they need to start rocking again.
