I went to college with Dan, and his smile, sense of humor, and zest for life will stay with me forever. His belief in the greatness of our country, and the sense of duty and willingness to sacrifice everything in defense of his fellow citizens should be an example for all of us. I know it is and always will be for me. Rest in Peace Dan.

I too lost friends on 9/11 and many since in the struggle against Islamofascists. Today I have two sons and a grandson carrying on that fight.
