UPCOMING GUESTS
October 23 Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist will be with us as he does a swing through the New England states. Sen. Frist is in town with his wife Karyn Frist who has authored a new book entitled Love You, Daddy Boy: Daughters Honor the Fathers They Love.
Max Robins no doubt due during 5 pm hour. Absolutely, Howie.
Does Robbins always sound loaded to you?
Today's poll:
BOSTON GLOBE
The Boston Globe is operating in the red and many politicians including Sen. Ted Kennedy are concerned for the future of the paper.....
Are you concerned about the Globe?
Yes 11%
No 89%

Max Robbins is when I hit the off switch.I couldn't care less if Fear Factor or Dance With The Stars is renewed for another season.I also switch him off when he's got that damn vet on talking about kittens with the sniffles.
I also miss VB.He was a great sidekick....but he's not a very good fill in.I guess some people shine better as second fiddle rather than as top dog......like Ed McMahon, perhaps.
Max Robbins is without a doubt the worst element of Howie's show. Every Monday I know I'm not going to be listening to Howie for awhile because the friggen Max Robbins gay cackle hour is going to be on.
naw he's just having fun.
Topic during first hour: who will be nominated/who will you support for prez in '08? Barrack Obama (aka "Osama bin
Laden" acc. to Ted K), an Ill. State Senator not too long
ago, could be running. An alternative to Hillary for Dems?
"John Kerry is going to run for re-election (to Senate), OK?
In Mass. you have until May to file your renomination papers
for the Senate"--Howie (thus after he loses the primaries,
he can just run for Senate again
I don't mind Max Robins, myself.
Who also just died: 28 inch tall Nelson de la Rosa (who was in The Island of Dr. Moreau, and pals with fellow Domincan Pedro Martinez
Is she the one who's triggering the death pool? I got to it late -- just heard he'd have the death pool the second hour, but missed who died.
Don't know who triggered death pool--missed first part of show due to phone call from friend.
Sen. Kennedy, whom should we ask to be the Dem. nominee
in '08?

The Globe apparently sees something sinister in Mormons helping Romney! Howie asks didn't Catholics help JFK (notes that Daley stole him a few thousand votes) and didn't Baptists help Carter?
Yes...
and btw the Herald (front page headline) is taking Romney to task today for being out of state so much...and Healey's on the campaign trail
so they ask, who's running the state? (Healey says she's doing just fine
though, signing bills, etc.)
Me too! All I ever have on TV is Fox News -- if there's nothing good or it's too depressing, I put in one of the tapes of I Love Lucy I recorded from Nick at Night (when they were still running it).
Howie just said Max won't be on today...tomorrow, instead.
4 pm: death pool. Jane Wyatt...died at 96
Guest Bill Frist will be on starting at the bottom of the hour.
first nominees in death pool:
Gerald Ford
Jack Klugman
Ariel Sharon
Harry Morgan (MASH) ("Still alive" says Sandy)
Johnny Pesky (HOW DARE YOU! "Just because they had an off year you had to get nasty..."--Howie)
Fidel Castro ("a nice one!")
Do you think someone will pick Justice Stevens . . .
I have to go out in a bit -- so I'll have to miss Frist. Can you summarize what he covers? (Does he still think he's running for President?)
I was driving to work when Frist was on and was only half-listening; I think Frist put his wife on briefly to say hi, and they mentioned her book "Love You, Daddy Boy".
Frist was asked about Barrack Obama and he replied that he was a very charismatic young senator (rumored to be running for
Prez) and time would tell, or something...
