Rumors-Winnings Fixed by ISP
Me | December 12, 2006 | Gypsy286

Posted on 12/12/2006 6:28:48 AM PST by GYPSY286

I've been playing bingo on-line at a popular bingo site and it appears that almost every game has the same 3-4 winners (not me) and jackpots are won over and over by the same players. Got to chatting on the bingo site and someone suggested that the company pre-determines the winners by customer ISP number. We figure the winners are those who may not play the most cards but make the most deposits. Does this sound plausible? Any software designers out there?

Of course it's fixed. What were you thinking? Whoever writes the software can make it do whatever they want.

Don't play money games online. Even if the host is on the level, there are ways for players to cheat. Imagine you are playing poker on an online site. Suppose three of the players at your table are communicating by cell phone about what hands they have. You lose.

Have you considered that the game runner themselves may have "winners", masquerading as players, that are entered to assure that the House always wins?

There is no protection. They could program about anything they want to.

I thought I was asking a legit question - I was not asked that I be "judged".

"I have won thousands of dollars playing online."

Just curious here - how does that compare to what you've lost? Overall, would you say you are ahead or behind?

Over about an 8 year peroid I am nearly 18,000 dollars ahead. Not a lot I know. But I really enjoy playing European players. They think all Americans are "fish" in their poker rooms.

18,000 ahead, that is chump change, I won the Nigerian lottery and 18 million will be put in my checking account as soon as they get my bank account numbers.:)

Wanna bet? LOL.

I did pay a lot learning in the first three years...My big wins along the way were due to my excellent playing skills. My bad beats? Must have been fixed casino software.

I play a lot on-line but only free games.
The nearest casino to me is the Grand Coushatta in Kenner, La., I go every few weeks.
With the extra $1.00 tax per package on cigarettes, I will go more often.

The key to winning is knowing the odds and money management.

Your first mistake is that you gamble and spend your hard earned money on a game of chance that probably gives you less than 1% to gain any profit at all. If I came up to you and said, give me $100 and guess a number between 1 and 100 and I will give you $500 in return. What chance of getting that $500 do you think you have? ONE in ONE HUNDRED.

Just like the lotto. If your odds are, say 1 in 50 million, then think of it like this, you have a swimming pool full with 50 million ping pong balls. One one ball is a #1. You are blind folded and told to dive into the pool of balls and grab one and come up with it. What chance do you think you have of coming up with that one ball with a #1 on it.

The dumbest thing I hear people say is, well SOMEONE is going to win it and my chances are as good as theirs. That is true. Someone will win it, but do you want to be one of the millions donating to the pot? I worked to darn hard for the money I got to just GIVE it away.

I have seen a couple of families who have lost darn near everything they owned because one of the spouses gambled away their money. Lost their home because one gambled away the mortgage payment. They call it an adiction. I do not subscribe to that in all cases. Most gamble for "fun". I find no FUN in giving my money away. If you want to give it away, I will email you my address. Just mail it to me. I believe your as strong as you want to be. If you cannot walk away from it, then you are weaker than you give yourself credit for.

You think poker is a game of chance? Let's get together with a deck of cards. After I take your money you can tell me how lucky I am.
