"Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Terrell Owens has been fined $35,000 today for spitting on Atlanta defensive back DeAngelo Hall in Saturday's 38-28 win over the Falcons. Owens won't be suspended for the Cowboys' Christmas Day NFC East showdown with the Eagles.
"We are confirming that Terrell Owens has been fined $35,000," said NFL vice president of public relations Greg Aiello in a phone interview. "It falls under unsportsmanlike conduct..."

And Jeremy Shockey and Plaxico Burress are models of virtue?

Virtue? No, that they're not. No choir boys are they.
Well, Shockey is often too hyped up and that gets in the way of his game and Burris is often the opposite and not hyped at all and seems disinterested in the game. But, I wouldn't put them in the same category as someone like Owens.
Are you kidding? He'll happily spend $35K to get into the media spotlight. Didn't you notice that as soon as Tony Romo got into the headlines TO ran to the cameras to allege spies in the locker room, and then spit on an opponent?
Trust me, the cancer named TO is already spreading among the Cowboys.
why the hell should anyone be fined for spitting? People spit all the time! I spit! Who cares if it's in a game, spitting is not like starting a riot.
