Thank you for the thread Molly and good morning. Mr. Prairie and I are off for some clothes shopping this morning as Mr. Prairie has the day off. He is to speak at a conference in Las Vegas in a few weeks and won't be able to wear his regular work clothes....shorts and t-shirt. :^)

I must also get another outfit for the trip as there is a dinner with program one night and cocktail hour on the second night.

Ice has arrived here in our area overnight. Everything is covered, but it could have been worse they said we would have 3 days of it and we just got it this AM.

We are headed to New Orleans to visit friends and show off the kids.....Will be missing today.

I find myself peaking out my window here in my 'shack in the back' to see if D is up which will mean Jason will be up then off to the 'big house' to hear that 'PawPaw, PawPaw'! Better believe, that makes me smile big time.

Thank you for your posts yesterday...really, illstillbe, it was "just one of those days", and I hadn't slept well to boot so it was hard to face what had happened at church.

Add to that my ongoing inner debate and consternation over the direction so many churches are taking...

Guenevere, you are blessed to have such a faith-ful church.

In our church we needed to turn away from years and years of dysfunctial behavior, and a largely non-spiritual focus.

For awhile I felt I had a role in that...lately, it's just this: I'm not sure we've taken the right path.

the initial steps were necessary...but have we erred subsequently? I fear we have, and yet we do have strong Bible study groups....there's more accountability...so it's not totally bleak.
