well, as long as they do not try to walk through things or people, it sounds harmless enough.

I'm the fool who still doesn't get it, and when I hear someone talking next to me, I turn to them and say "What?" Only to find that they're on the phone.

*sigh*

It creeps me out.

Problem is we've always had people wandering around Seattle talking animatedly to themelves (or lamp posts), long before these hands-free ear gizmos were invented.

How to tell the difference?

Yes I've gotten used to it, because just about everybody is doing it. I don't know what they have to say that's so important, they talk and talk and talk in the midst of doing everything else.

I have long thought that laptop computers were just a waystation to the ultimate computer, which will have a hi-def view presented close to the eye thru optics. And a mouthpiece which will cover the mouth, allowing private speech - to a cell phone, yes - but also to your speech-processing computer. Speech control will supplant the keyboard.

That picture does however put one in mind of a Star Trek character . . .

"But ...this will really having me looking hard...People walking around WalMart watching TV...Talking to themselves."

What bothers me, is that some of these guys will be watching porn, and who knows what that will lead to in public.
