I used to love playing Journey.

But I sure as heck didn’t play it when I was 7!

Hell, I didn’t even start piano until I was 12 and guitar until I was 14.

That was actually pretty cool. I didn’t start until I was 12 and got nothing but crap from my brothers and parents all the way.

I see the grown-ups encouraging these kids and that makes a world of difference.

(I hope someone tells them to never forget to keep it fun!)

there have been bands with young teens or pre-pubescents around...I remember in the 80s there was a punk band called Old Skull. "Nasty little 9 year olds", someone at my college station wrote on their album. One song, "Homeless", had a third grader screech, "I HATE you Ronald Reagan" near the end. I think their dads were in the band too. File under "punk rockers who are no taller than your armpits".
