Emergency detention plan: 'This way to the ZOT!'
World Net Daily ^ | 05-30-2007

Houston-based KBR was awarded an initial $385 million contract in January 2006 for one year, with four one-year options extended into 2007. KBR held a previous emergency detention contract with ICE from 2000 to 2005.

ICE spokeswoman Jamie Zuieback told Corsi the primary intent of the contract was to build temporary detention facilities that could be used in the event of a mass migration crisis, but she confirmed the facilities could be employed in national emergencies, including natural disasters.

Sometimes, we think of older people as coming from another time and place. Time, yes, but often, the place wasn’t too far removed from Woodstock and flower children.

My daughter often asks me if I was a flower child. I had no idea what a flower child WAS! But she doesn’t believe me! LOL!

I had to think about the second piercing in my left ear, because I was brought up to be a “lady” and body piercings of any kind were “not done.” LOL!

I often wonder if my mother EVER had any fun! But then I recall she met my dad at a dance!

I suspect Anoreth’s first “other” earrings will be flashy but not cheap-looking. And I suspect she will soon come to “enjoy being a girl.” (Was that from “Oklahoma?”)

Got mine while stationed in Beaufort, SC. There was a back alley scratcher that did most of the ink for the troops at Hunter Army Airfield in Savannah,GA and for the Marines at Paris Island or the Marine Corps Air Station.

None of mine are military related and the guy had a standing policy that if he thought you were drunk or otherwise chemically altered, he'd boot you out of the shop.

She’ll want something that’s not too big. Maybe something with an animal figure; I have some silver armadillos that she bought me at a craft show a few years ago!

My cousin (the nurse-anesthetist) pierced my ears when I was 16 (and she was 31). My mom didn’t trust the places in the mall, although of course they wouldn’t be in business if many customers got infections!

I got a shot of lidocaine first, and a shot of Amaretto afterward, and went to bed for the rest of the day!

That sounds like the ones my kids got. My son was stationed at Ft. Carson CO, and my daughter was at Orlando NTC. Both were sober.

My son got two, neither military. My daughter got one, not military, but after her sons were born, she had their names added to it.

I suspect I’ll stick with just one...;o]

Lots of blood. The little staple-gun thingie they use at the mall doesn’t leave lots of blood.

by the time I got mine, my mother had already passed away, so I didn’t have to run it by her. But she probably would never have let me hear the end of it, that’s for sure!!

Yah...my doctor used what can only be termed as a “leather punch.” He kept it handy, so I’m sure I’m not the only person that requested a piercing on a spur-of-the-moment basis. Not much blood at all.

Halliburton's press release tells a different story:

The contract, which is effective immediately, provides for establishing temporary detention and processing capabilities to augment existing ICE Detention and Removal Operations (DRO) Program facilities in the event of an emergency influx of immigrants into the U.S., or to support the rapid development of new programs.

It's nice that you had a doctor willing to give it his awl.

He didn’t give me his awl...he was only willing to loan it to me under specific circumstances for a few seconds of pain/pleasure. Behind closed doors....

That’s because it’s been taken over by the denizens of the Flying Castle, aka Undead Thread!

You’re welcome to join us! We’ll be here for a month!

We do suggest taking a FRiend with you if you plan to explore the Lower Levels. The walls and halls have a tendency to um...shift...and there are some “creatures” that often can’t be accounted for.

However, the rest of the environs are quite pleasant; just don’t go swimming in the moat without a chaperone...
