The Dragonflies' Lair ~ Thread XXXIX~ June ~ July~ August
Poets of The Dragonflies' Lair | June 19, 2007 | Soaring Feather

My Dragonfly and Me

If I could be a Dragon Fly
and wing my way through the sky
I would never be shy
just me and my Dragon Fly!

By moonlight we ride the wind
chase the comets tail for fun
by day we would hide from the sun
our fragile wings would come undone

On darkest nights we would use
fireflies as our guide
we would dip and we would glide
through the heavens open wide
and scatter diamonds in the night sky
my Dragon Fly and me...

And we would wing past our lovers
silent in the night...
to kiss their face in our flight
much to their surprise and delight
my Dragon Fly and me in sight...

Such a view do we share
away up here in the air
of breezes soft through our hair
my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

Bonding to the wrong species can create serious, though adorable complications.

A head for the horses:

Yevette Jelfs’ lovely burlap-and-dead-fern ensemble was by no means the silliest.

Love this hat. ;)

Yes, very nice. ;)

Can you believe temps are going in the low 50s tonight, has not gotten out of the 60s today, yesterday it was in the 90s.

We had a light soaking rain most of the night last night, the thunder and lightning storm was not bad here, but certainly our cooler air is the result of one someplace.

I think that is going to be our weather this Summer. Last year was the crappiest weather, June and July the temps didn’t move much out of the 60s, it was damp from all the rain that came down. Clammy all the time, September was our Summer.

That rat is supposed to be white! It’s so gray with smoke it’s a wonder it survived at all

Within our organization we have a fire chief and he says that depending upon the amount of smoke inhalation the rat may develop pneumonia

Just the kind of weather to develop allergies to mold and mildew.

If they are forewarned, they can pre-treat the little guy, right? I hope.

It’s been a better day, thanks. It improved as it went on. All I did was take it easy. Around 7:30, I got and took the new diabetes med and my meter got a new battery and hoping for the best.

I need a vacation, how about you?

A vacation really sounds great. There are so many places with unrest it is difficult to pick a good vacation spot. Where are your preferences for vacation sites?
