What's on your grill for the Fourth of July?

Posted on 07/03/2007 9:58:59 AM PDT by Clam Digger

For me, I'll be doing up some clams (SHOCKER!) and the usual smoked turkey. Hey, Ben Franklin wanted it to be our national bird, ya know!

If I make my own marinade, I usually mix up (for pork) some apple cider vinegar, olive oil, and A1.

i was planning to make bratwurst from scratch — anyone know how much brat to use?

I'd guess it depends on the size of th crowd, but an average 10 year old brat can feed about 25 people.

YIKES! I hate overcooked food of any kind. Damn, if the cow stands in the sun all day, it’s overcooked.

Karl’s brats on the grill and then spicy brown mustard, onions, sauerkraut, beer and German potato salad.

Is that a social disease, or like clapping laughter?

"What's on your grill for the Fourth?"

Black Birds! They decided to get in there and lay eggs.

You betcha. You bring the clams and I’ll run out and get some rockfish. We add all that to the crab soup and delmonicos and have us a good ole time (after the parade and before the fireworks.)

I checked a little while ago, we have rain in our forecast here too. We'll drag the bbq grill on the porch and have at it.

Brisket, ribs-pork and beef, Eckrich sausage links, hot dogs, hamburgers, chicken, potato salad, baked beans and plenty of watermelons and apple pies.
