NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- New York City Schools are putting their foot down when it comes to public displays of affection.
New rules reportedly proposed yesterday by the city's Department of Education would bring automatic suspensions for students who make sexually suggestive comments, innuendos, propositions or engage in other similar conduct.
Students caught in such behaviors could face a suspension of up to 90 days, transfer or even expulsion.
Schools Chancellor Joel Klein will decide on the proposed new rules after a public hearing, next month.
How are they going to stop the boys from hugging each other?
In NYC, that is politically correct :P
Think I’ll go down to the shore and yell at the tide to not come in.
What is the punishment for beating up white kids?
Just another excuse to hate overpaid school administrators.
However, stopping kissing on the school ground is OK as long as you don’t stop sex education. sarc
Kissing on school grounds is inappropriate. This, is wide open for abuse though:
>>>sexually suggestive comments, innuendos, propositions or engage in other similar conduct.<<<
Politics of the heart Assemblywoman Sayward's son talks of growing up, living as a gay man
At my school if you got caught breaking an unwritten rule such as kissing you got sent to the Principals office.
The Principal who we nicknamed Bazark because of a local television show, would get out his paddle with the holes and give you three hot stinging licks on the butt for girls and five for boys.
You would then go back to class and all was forgotten until the next time you screwed up, like fighting or using a cuss word in class.
In todays screwed up school climate the only way schools can deal with someone who breaks the rules is to put them on the streets for 90 days, frigging unbelievable, where a child already breaking the rules can get into worse trouble.
Back in my days we had a place for students who broke rules and it was not some alternative school it was called study hall.
Worse yet the school would call home and all hell would break out when I got home, with my dad and mom giving a more severe punishment.
It used to be that a parent was ashamed to have a child in trouble at school.
Mom and Dad sure thought the teachers had enough honor to tell the truth about my conduct in school.
Current Public schools are an example of what happens when far left fringe stoopid liberals try to fix a problem with feel good policies.
For the last 30 plus years schools have gotten progressively out of control.
Each time something happens the rules enacted by liberals has taken the problem to a higher plateau of being a bigger problem.
So how do liberal educational leaders deal with a Columbine situation, the same way fringe Nancy Pelosie liberals in congress deal with any problem, they pass new laws and raise taxes that will not work.
Same as the liberals saying Americans are racists and arrogant for wanting to enforce the current immigration laws.
Then the cowardly liberals want to constantly have their bowels in an uproar because some terrorist might cross the Southern border.
Makes a person who cares about America want to throw up their hands and yell GIVE ME A PHYSICAL BREAK.

Trust me, I empathize.

I’m more worried about the clause with the innuendos.
My little girl left my side went off with her friend tonight at the fair. It was the first time she was old enough to do that. I swear I stalked them the whole time.
But I was wondering where my little girl went too.
Thanks. I wish I could put them in a bubble though. That isn’t practical. Sounds like yours turned out great. That is encouraging!
Will they apply the same rule to same-sex schools? Or was this devised as a way of creating fear-ridden quaking castrated little boys?
Private schools can be affected if they adopt the rules independently or, if the rules are attached to grant monies they receive.
