..so now, after Floyd and the gang made it clear that ol' Barney was anything but Fearless, the set up shop again on the side of the road.

Barney had to go out confront the two farmers and finally act with the strength and courage we all knew he had.

The two farmers left once and for all and Barney, once again, is the hero!

Oooh!

The Dirty Dozen is about to start on AMC.............

If they're all on steroids then they will again all be average.

I'm not on steroids. Are you? I get your point though. So then let's make half of the players take steroids by running each of them through some cycles pre-season. The steroid recipients shall be determined by random lottery.

I say that jokingly of course, but you know what? If they actually did that, I bet star players vs. avg. players each season would be randomly distributed between the users and non-users.

Another alternative would be have two separate leagues. A steroid league and a non steroid league. The bases for the steroid league would be 120 feet apart. The pitchers mound would 90 feet from home plate. The outfield would be at least 500 feet from home plate.

Make them all freakishly huge and maybe baseball will become just slightly more interesting than watching a snail race.

Baseball is called the thinking man's game. Maybe that's your problem with baseball.

Of course, Bonds was a star before he ever too steroids.... BUT, when he bulked up with steroids it definitely increased his power and homerun output considerably. He never was on track to approach Aaron’s record until he overnight started to look like Ah-nold.

Greater strength does not give you the magnificent eye-hand coordination to hit baseballs solidly and a long way, especially against major league pitching. BUT, if you already have that fine coordination, as Bonds did, then unnatural strength can enable you to hit a lot more home runs - and that’s just what happened with Bonds and some others.

The only good thing I can say about Barry Bonds is that he’s not a Yankee. That would make him the spawn of satan...

Roid Boy Bonds has never tested positive for any illegal substances, unlike other players.

Baseball is called the thinking man's game.

Like this guy deep in thought?

You actually just won me $5. I bet my girlfriend some boring stat geek would come along and say something along these lines right after I tossed the bait.

If you are one of the data junky geeks instead of the facepaint animals, I would simply say: Baseball is for the thinking man with nothing worthwhile to think about.

I was struck by his arrogance and disgust each time he was walked. They were throwing to him. They weren’t intentionally walking him like they did McGwire a few years back when no one wanted to be “the one” who gave up the historic homerun. On each of his walks last night, there were called strikes AND he even swung at a few. He even got down 0-2 one one of his last at bats. But his flip of the bat, ripping off of the arm cover, and disgusted look on his face showed that he feels he is owed this record. It’s gonna happen. I don’t want it to happen. I wish it were just over with so he’d be out of the limelight again.

I’m tired of watching cheaters win...Bonds, McGwire, whoever, they’re all roided up and I couldn’t care less about baseball. However, I do think that whoever catches that record breaking ball should exact some payback on MLB for the fans. If they want that ball...make them pay for it...big time...like for millions. MLB doesn’t get a wit about its fans...they’ll cancel the league when they argue about contracts and the fans pay the price. MLB is all about the money and so should that record breaking ball.

AROD will hit 500 soon if he averages 35 to 40 HR’s for the next 7 or 8 years he will break Bonds record assuming Bonds retires at end of this season like I think he will.
