OOOPS! Better see #16.
A large part of the problems with mine may have stemmed from the fact that it was one of the first batch of a new model. Customer reviews I've read online have tended to support this theory.
Congrats! What color?
I drive a 98 GMC Safari van every day for work, 261,000 miles and counting. On the third fuel pump, replaced everything else once except the engine, transmission, and exhaust. Runs like a top. I’d love to get a new vehicle, but it just won’t give up the ghost. I use Valvoline extended life synthetic oil.
I think the color is called bodego beige, which is a sort of metallic sand color. I went 6,000 miles before the indicator said I needed as oil change.

Give up, and give in. You are NEVER going to make it. Get yourself a nice new vehicle, you’ve EARNED it.
“>>Too bad I can no longer afford them.<<
Remove the import taxes and you may.”
New Accords and Civics are built in Ohio for the US market. At least since ‘99-00.
“Too bad I can no longer afford them.
Don’t feel so bad. I had an ‘06 Civic coupe that was such a lemon that I traded it in at 7,000 miles. In addition to the mechanical problems, the fit and finish was astonishingly bad. I had owned Hondas before, so I was really surprised and disappointed.”
They make about 4 or so lemons a year, I guess you got the lucky one. :P
I guess so. I had always heard that "all car companies are capable of making a lemon" and in my case, it turned out to be quite true. It's too bad, because I had read all of the very positive press about that model and was really looking forward to getting a fun little car. Oh, well.
Imteresting that the drivers seat isn’t worn out. There’s a lot of “butt time” for all those miles.

Just slightly ahead of you; I've got 289k on my '89 with the late, sorely-missed 300 c.i.d. straight six. Needs a valve job, no doubt because I used it for pulling horses, something its rear axle was not geared to do. Bought a Dodge Cummins as a replacement, but am keeping the Ford for sentimental reasons.
That’s what I was thinking. Honda could’ve used made a really good commercial about the car.
Ping to read later
It probably fits the driver good though. The seat probably has butt indentations from all the "butt time." ;)

Talk about a gross exaggeration. :) I personally know more than 4 people who have had to replace transmissions on 98-01 Accords and Odysseys.
But it is certainly true that any average car will tend to have few problems. On AVERAGE, Consumer Reports says that a 10 year old car has a 4% rate of major engine problems, with the same rate for transmissions. For five year old cars, those rates are about 1%.
That is AVERAGE for ALL cars....
Just add some bling.....like my ride...
