Wall Of Voodoo -Call Of The West

Song about the west, done live by Stan Ridgeway, the lyrics brilliant, again a bit of a country rock twang. One of my favorite songs.
My dad loved them and claimed to have hopped onstage and performed with them.
What a stupendous Bowie video. Bowie was at peak then with “Station to Station”. Bowie wearing that dress. LOLOLOLOL
Plus the Klaus “You don’t own me” Nomi factor
What a great song.
I must be sick, here’s another song with that western twang.

Arnold Schwartznegger is in the video at the end. Sure looks young.
Awesome, it has turned into western twang night.
Actually, my favorite WOV album was Seven Days In Sammystown, with Adam Prieboy, not Stan Ridgeway. Many like me, love Stan, but the last album SDIST, was the best. I cannot buy it anywhere, the tape of mine busted, only one song is available on youtube, the title track from that album.
This start with an interview on old VH1

Nice one of Bonnie, before she quit drinking!
I remember the first time I heard that... Rush Limbaugh used it for an update intro for queer news back in the late 80's.
Hey, I’m not stuck in the 80’s, love some of the modern stuff. This Marilyn Manson song is great, even though he’s beyond odd looking.

If you love 80s, this is one awesome song. I tried for years to find it on vinyl, finally one day it popped up on youtube.
You’ll thank me for it...
