Free enterprise is a great thing. I hope they make lots of money. Being Undead, they probably have significant expenses that the rest of us don’t.
They should do a couple stadium shows a year. then of course the double live album with DVD....
I can’t remember how many times I listened to LZ’s first album—usually stoned. It was one of the first records I ever bought with my own money.
In my Hippie heyday they were our gods. They didn’t tour as much as bands like Grand Funk or Black Sabbath so to have attended one of their concerts was a badge of rock honor.
I’m a straight conservative now and regret my wasted ways of youth—but DANG I had a good time!
I think that would be a great idea.
Who is the group in post #11?
The Zappa version where he replaces Page with the horn section is better. Really it’s one of those songs that’s good for no apparent reason, the lyrics are stupid, the song starts painfully slow and drags, the guitar solo is overwrought, and yet somehow it’s one of the best songs ever.
Still FRiends..?
HEY!.....I like the Carpenters! :)
Here's my favorite version of Kashmire from a Jethro Tull concert a few years back... lucia micarelli Kashmir
Oh yeah, the Led Who: Jimmy Page and Roger Daltrey...
To each his own,,the lyrics actually tell a tale,,which fits certain folk,,,sad really, due to the fact that no one can buy their way into Heaven...
Too bad it couldn’t be Bonham and Moon (RIP)
You must be on Top of the World.
Tull is still one of my all time faves. That was interesting.
Me - I’d run from them. Which LZ member owns Aleister Crowley’s house in England - is it Jimmy Page?
LZ was not an ordinary group...
Of course. Differences of opinion are no more, no less.
We were driving to the library yesterday, and my 5-year-old told me that if I didn’t stop for doughnuts on the way home, he would sing Lynyrd Skynyrd. I almost gave in ... and his version of “Oooh, That Smell!” almost persuaded me to drive the van straight into a telephone pole. But we’re all still here today ...
Nice. I get it.
How nice.
I hope they decide to tour the U.S. I saw Page/Plant for the ‘Walking to Clarksdale’ tour a few years back, and it was great. John Paul is such a kick ass musician, and I’d love to see this lineup.
Glad you liked it! : )
