Tree man 'who grew roots' may be cured

An Indonesian fisherman who feared that he would be killed by tree-like growths covering his body has been given hope of recovery by an American doctor - and Vitamin A.

Dede, now 35, baffled medical experts when warty "roots" began growing out of his arms and feet after he cut his knee in a teenage accident.

The welts spread across his body unchecked and soon he was left unable to carry out everyday household tasks.

Sacked from his job and deserted by his wife, Dede has been raising his two children - now in their late teens - in poverty, resigned to the fact that local doctors had no cure for his condition.

To make ends meet he even joined a local "freak show", parading in front of a paying audience alongside victims of other peculiar diseases.

Great balsa fire!

It's too bad Indonesian doctors couldn't get to the root of this man's problem. However, he was barking up the wrong tree. American specialists willow knot disappoint him, yew know.

I pray fir his cure and I'm sure that it will be at a locust to him.

Acacia didn't know, American doctors are the best in the world. The surgery will be arborius, but we can expect him to be out of the woods A-SAP.

But it is extremely disgusting. Imagine how it must stink. That is all dead tissue rotting in the humid tropical climate. Gives me the creeps.

Wonder if he will ever be able to work as a fisherman when they cut this stuff off of him. At least now he has work in the freak show.

Just hope his daugher doesn’t get it. Would be a damn shame.

“I’ll axe everyone I know.”

Careful, you might get cut off on this thread. There’s folks here who think it’s not kosher, that we’re barking up the wrong tree. Almost the equivalent of treason.
