A Vote Against McCain = A Hillary White House ZOT!

Posted on 01/20/2008 12:17:49 PM PST by kelly.s

As much as I prefer Rudy Giuliani for President, I just can't fathom voting against McCain and giving the White House to Hillary. Hopefully, most Republicans will see the lesser of two evils when casting their vote.

How 'bout a Giuliani/McCain ticket (or vice versa) for Pres. & VP? Think Independents would come on board?

I don't mean to sound like a desperate Republican, but sometimes you've just gotta call it like it is. :o)

Uh, perhaps you would like to read the rest of the quote:

A political party cannot be all things to all people. It must represent certain fundamental beliefs which must not be compromised to political expediency, or simply to swell its numbers.

I do not believe I have proposed anything that is contrary to what has been considered Republican principle. It is at the same time the very basis of conservatism. It is time to reassert that principle and raise it to full view. And if there are those who cannot subscribe to these principles, then let them go their way.

It is from the CPAC speech that Reagan gave in 1975 after the GOP had lost big in the mid-term elections. The focus of the speech was about NOT COMPROMISING with liberals within the party.

You and other RINOs invariably think that Reagan was promoting compromise.

It is unbelievable that you feel the need to judge me and discriminate against one of your own (Republican). Is there no room for dialogue in here? Last time I checked, none of you seemed to be around...thankfully. I guess those were the good ‘ole days...

Tell me.....just what does "fully conservative" actually mean in your world?

No, I'm not being rude either. I must say, that it never fails to amuse me when a conservative from on of the three or so different factions calls another laking in conservative creds. Don't you understand that this sort of thing goes both ways and cannot be settled.

Fiscals, security hawks, and socials are three parts of a whole, and without all three there is little or no chance of victory and there never has been. Never......

Go ahead! Continue and extend the thought with Reagan's words.

Also, better do better on your research, you obviously haven’t seen all my posts!

Whatever, you love Rooty Toot and McLame, you also like Huckabee and claim to like Thompson (which is shocking) and you would be happy to vote for Romney. So, your preferences are any of the four liberals running (Rooty, Romney, McLame and Huckster). And here are all of your posts:

There, now that you’ve got you jabs in, I hope you feel much better now.

You know, a great American president, Ronald Reagan, once said, (”A political party cannot be all things to all people.” — Ronald Reagan, 3/1/75.)

...ever heard of that before?

Gosh, no way! Do I “hear” some of you correctly? You’d rather have a Dem in the White House? That’s a huge chance Repubs would be taking!

Come on, now, you’re honestly saying there is NO common ground for Republicans to stand behind?

I’m a Repub, but I’ll never be a pouting one!!!!

Yes, I heard about the possible Clinton/Obama ticket...just this past week. Hillary’s no dummy.

And I agree, I’ll take ANY republican candidate over Hillary...and I still don’t feel like I’d be selling out.

I just like something in all the Repub candidates, well, ok maybe not so much McCain-—uh, let me think, well, alright, the surge is working.

It would be nice if all the good qualities in the candidates could be rolled up into one candidate.

Hey, I can still dream, you know! :o)

Yes, I used to ask, "What's up with that?" every time I heard about someone's second divorce. Until it happened to me. First time, I wanted out. Second time, I wanted to stay in and fight. However, if the other party is determined to get out, you ultimately have no choice in the matter.

I don't ask anymore, having had my own taste of humble pie.

No one’s saying who’s right and who’s wrong here. (I hope.) Your tone was unbelievably judgmental. I can see why people are so quick to judge Republicans right back. That was my point to you.

Anyone who wants Giuliani as president is a leftist who would be just as happy if Hillary or Hussein wins. Giuliani is worse than a RINO...he’s a flaming liberal who would be a disaster for the Republican Party and for the country.

I haven't seen napscoordinator or anyone else around here criticizing any conservatives. As far as "judging" goes, it's not judgmental to point out someone's liberal record.

You didn’t get it. Principles are all for sale in the GOP. The conservatives that have them have been deleted. Fred is on his last strand of hair.

The other ones can go pound sand. If the GOP wants my vote, I will vote for the best looking, there is no reason left for me to vote for them other than that.
