John Roco argues that a pattern of increasing power enabling access to a female 'of more desire to him' has defined Newt Gingrich for the election, debates, presidential race of 2012, as well as leaving a wife when she was 'baggage' of being ill, and seemingly not to serve his purposes. John Roco also argues of Newt Gingrich's attack ability at debates, whether South Carolina, Florida or future, actually becomes an extreme deficit of one who would want to be leader of our nation, needing to 'contain' outbursts and expressions of ego empowerment. Admiral Patrick Walsh is mentioned as one...

OK, this is not a flame thread. I'm genuinely curious why conservatives think Communism is so evil. I am a Communist. I am also a God-fearing Christian, a tax-paying and loyal American, and a generally nice guy. Communism was perverted by third world despots and was never implemented fully in its true form. Communism is about cooperation and good will. And it's important to note that economic success and cooperation are not mutally exclusive. In fact, I would argue greater cooperation among individuals leads to more prosperity and more overall happiness.

We have a problem when our supposed populist non politician front runner is a former Federal Reserve chairman. Herman Cain does have experience in the private sector, but a good portion of that private sector experience is working for the private corporation-The Federal Reserve. Herman Cain believes that individual citizens can just call up the private corporation known as The Federal Reserve and ask them how they operate? Who does he think we are? You cannot even step foot on the property of the Private Reserve. You can call the human relations department at the Federal Reserve and they will...

It matters NOT, who becomes the next POTUS. It is only about $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$. The few at the top (can be located anywhere in the world) that have the $$$$$$$$$$$$$ are and will be in control of and dictate to everyone else. Like it or not, get used to it.

I found this interesting analysis of the Japanese earthquake at the atomic engineering forum. It has photos so i post the link Was the Japanese earthquake triggered by Japanese atomic bomb test detonation? http://www.physicsforums.com/showthread.php?t=481022

extra!! the seismograms of the japan earthquake corresponds to several atomic explosions not to a natural earthquake. Yes you heard it here first at freerepublic. the seimograms of the japan earthquake dont correspond to an eartquake but to the explosion of several subsea atomic bombs. Here are the seismograms of the Kobe earthquake and the recent earthquake. http://www.okgeosurvey1.gov/level2/ok.grams/T950116.html http://bcespquakes.files.wordpress.com/2011/03/wesobseq1_japan_03112011.png Many observatories are reporting anomalies. http://www.khastv.com/news/local/UNL-well-fails-to-record-Japan-earthquake-117830488.html

WASHINGTON — President Barack Obama's approval ratings have sunk to the lowest level of his presidency, so low that he'd lose the White House to Republican Mitt Romney if the election were held today, according to a new McClatchy-Marist poll.
-
I just figured out the big problem with Republicans and why you should stay home and let Democraps keep control in Washington and all the State and local governments!! All our candidates just suck so much. Ask the media, they will tell you. Carl Paladino? sucks. Marco Rubio? Sucks. Rand Paul? Aqua Buddah even thinks he sucks. Christine O'Donnell, Sarah Palin, Angle, Townsend, Rowland, Fiorina, etc etc etc -big time suckage. If we want to win elections we have to find candidates who don't suck so much. Don't believe me? Just read all the media reports about how bad we...

The idea of One Man, One Vote is one of my favorite parts of the Myth of Democracy. I'm a pretty avid history student. I wouldn't pretend to teach it like Glenn Beck does but I've read all eleven volumes of Durant's The Story of Civilization. Not once in this magnificently rendered and detailed saga of Mankind's antics do I remember an example of a true democracy. It's an ideal, like communism or true love, which has never existed but in imperfect approximation. We suppose that Athens had a democracy and if you don't count slaves and women it was...

They’re still around. Being funded in Afghanistan by the State Department (that would be President Obama’s State Department), as a matter of fact. After private Blackwater contractors opened fire in Iraq and killed 14 civilians in September 2007, Obama jumped on it. He went so far as to say his fixes for Blackwater specifically were the the toughest reforms of any Presidential candidate.

FBI report: ACORN 'poverty pimpin'' for Democrats Agency documents Election Day confusion plot, multiple voting, ID theft, threats FBI investigation notes reveal ACORN was working for the Democratic Party and told employees not to talk to the FBI, to cause confusion on Election Day and to go "poverty pimpin'" for votes. Judicial Watch, a corruption-fighting legal group, obtained the notes related to the 2007 investigation and arrest of eight St. Louis, Mo., ACORN workers for violating election laws and committing voter fraud. 'Poverty pimpin,' fraud and work for Democratic Party The FBI investigators interviewed ACORN canvassers working with Project Vote,...

What do you think will happen in 2010? It could go either way. It would be great to see the tea party express crush the rinos, but will we then be able to beat Obama and the Rats in November, or will we be seen as too conservative "for the nainstream"? You saw with the far left Kerry in 2004 how easily we beat them. The tea party is real conservative, but I don't want to lose to the Dems and Obama again either.

An Open Letter To Patriots I am writing this as an open letter to all that consider themselves a voice for the Conservative / Tea Party Movement or any other political voice in opposition to the current administration in D.C. More and more average citizens are becoming active in the political process every day. Many, like myself, have never been involved but are very concerned about the direction of our great nation. They turn to many media sources for information and insight on the seemingly endless series of debates over everything from healthcare and immigration reform to jobs and the...
-
Healthcare has been a divisive political landmine that has ravaged unsuspecting politicians for years. The idea that something must be done is uniform the method in which healthcare is reformed has been less lucent. I've labored over my position on this topic for some time and I believe the idea is sound and the need is present what is lacking is the desire to meet the challenge. Having healthcare may have been a luxury in years past but it's an absolute necessity today. Our environment has grown so toxic that more and more people are requiring medical care at much...

I came here to understand the conservative point of view. I've lurked for a while now. I decided it'd be appropriate for me to say a few words. I think that you are patriotic Americans. I am a patriotic American too. It is our right and duty as Americans to vehemently disagree with eachother about how this nation should be governed. It is also our right to call into question the patriotism of those with whom we disagree, but it is our duty not to. It was patriotic to protest the government four years ago, and it is patriotic now....

Its on Oregon voters fire first shots at the rich, The rich are trenched in and planning a stunning blow to the hungry, homeless, lifetime welfare class. Many of the rich are warm and comfortable in there homes and offices, they plan on getting signatures to bring the fatal blow in the conflict. The weapon of legislation by way of proxy. The money is coming in and soon the ballet box will be stuffed with ballots on them a law stopping all funding of welfare funding. Welfare troops are having a hard time focusing due to not having a leader to tell...

Obama already is in over his head concerning his own country. He has not brought hope and change as he promised. He has been discovered as the inept individual many knew him to be before he walked into the White House.

InspectorSmith Im sorry everyone but, I cannot work with Orly Taitz any longer. She wants me to lie under oath. (4 hours ago) InspectorSmith (1 hour ago) Orly Taitz does not feel it is important to investigate further into any documents that backup Obama's claim to Hawaiian birth. She says that she does not have the money to do so However, her legal team is free to pay their own way. Her whole legal team works for free and pays their own expenses. She had the nerve to tell me to get a job when I requested that she send...

To those out there desperately trying to paste together scraps of enthusiasm by singing the poetic praises of VP Dick Cheney, please don’t expect the average conservative out in flyover country to join your little Republican booster club. Certainly, there is not much to disagree with in what the former VP says. No doubt, we’re “less safe” under Obama. Pres Obama’s administration is obviously lowering all of our defenses. Opening us wide to all manner of political, economic and violent terror attacks. So why does the GOP Base continue to rapidly shrink? (now down to 27% - Gallup) Why is...

As the boy attempts to make the switch, he's zapped by electricity and runs away. A boy from North Carolina was caught on tape trying to swap signs from John McCain to Barack Obama. The video posted on YouTube.com shows a 9-year-old boy creeping up to a McCain/Palin yard sign outside of a home with an Obama sign. As the boy attempts to make the switch, he's zapped by electricity and runs away. Shawn Turschak of Chapel Hill, says he was tired of people swapping out his sign, so the home owner with a degree in electrical engineering hooked up...

A man who may have been trying to steal copper wiring was severely burned on top of a utility pole this morning, Dallas Fire-Rescue said. His rescue was hindered because his flesh had melded with the metal on the pole. A Dallas Fire-Rescue dispatcher said a passerby called about 5:30 a.m. to report that a man was on top of a utility pole and that wires were sparking above in the 800 block of Regal Row near the Irving border. Police said there had also been reports of power outages in the area. When crews arrived, they found a person,...

The only truly critical factor affecting the earth is overpopulation. To make things it is an ignored topic because of political correctness. We will rid the earth of all its resources, and thereby eliminate humanity.

As much as I prefer Rudy Giuliani for President, I just can't fathom voting against McCain and giving the White House to Hillary. Hopefully, most Republicans will see the lesser of two evils when casting their vote. How 'bout a Giuliani/McCain ticket (or vice versa) for Pres. & VP? Think Independents would come on board? I don't mean to sound like a desperate Republican, but sometimes you've just gotta call it like it is. :o)

Hunt is a privately-held independent oil company based in Dallas, Texas. A third partner, Impulse Energy Corp., also has a stake in the project. "We're very pleased to have the opportunity to be a part of these landmark events by actively participating in the establishment of the petroleum industry," Ray L. Hunt, Hunt's CEO, said in a statement. Hunt, who is also on the board of Halliburton, has been a key fundraiser for President George W. Bush, who named him to the President's Foreign Intelligence Advisory Board.

<p>I recently found this video blog posted by independent film maker and independent art advocate, Lloyd Kaufman. He addresses the recent Hilary Clinton parody video that gained momentory media attention. Although the attention it originally got was positive, Kaufman's attention is certainly not. What do you all think? Are his claims warranted and are his concerns legitimated?</p>

I'm a Democratic-leaning independent voter that has lurked on the site for some time. Although I don't agree with the viewpoints of many here, I've learned quite a bit from the research necessary to fairly appreciate both sides of the issue. Pretty much the same reason I listen to Hannity and Rush. I also belong to DailyKos but likewise rarely find myself in lockstep agreement with the left, either, on any issue. I'd be the first one to admit that both sides often have valid points. I just wish politicians would do a better job of acknowledging that, instead of...

About me: Lurker - since 1998 Member - since 1999 In self-imposed exile - since April 2007 The tone of the debate and the attacks on long-time fellow Freepers for the cardinal sin of daring to support Rudy Giuliani in early 2007 around here have really saddened me. Instead of fighting the enemy FR is now imposing an 'ideological purity' test on FR members. The well-oiled train has gone off the rails and Mr. Robinson risks becoming the next Joe Farah - a fellow who started a great website for conservative news and opinions, but who gradually drifted off to...

We all know, and are told constantly, that bush is the most honest, most christian, greatest President ever. One would then surmise that he would surround himself with like kinded and minded advisors. No doubt before every meeting in the white house, they all swear to tell each other the truth as they each read passages from Leviticus. And we all know that if perchance, the meek and mild rove or Harriet accidentally admit to a heinous crime against the constitution it will only be because they were tricked to do so by evil sodomite liberals in congress. So what's...

We the moderate Muslims are doing our best to build Bridges and spread the Peace with "People of the Book" (Jews, Christians, Muslims), and others who are also our brethrens in humanity. But we can’t do it alone and we need your help. We can tell you that most people around us, are loving, and supportive of us. This is a great Country, as we are free to practice Islam, and contribute to our society. Sometimes we get hate emails, but for each one of those, we may receive dozens and dozens of positive and supportive messages. It is true...

I've read enough of the posts on this sight to know that most of you people are really dangerous. If someone disagrees with you, you would "Take them out" if you could. It's that "Ultra-conservative, All American Redneck, NASCAR, Pro-Wrestling, inbread country music fan" kind of politics that tries to shut down anyone who speaks their mind against your beliefs that bothers me. I am in favor of gun ownership and the right to bare arms, and it's people like you that I need to protect myself from. This probably won't get posted for the reasons listed above, but even...

Remote detection satellites are used by the intelligence branch of the military to conduct mind control exercises in the theater of war. All this technology is dependent upon the higher branches of particle physics and quantum mechanics. The array of satellites safe in deep space cover the entire earth making the mind control intelligence program widely successful. Be amazed as you view this military program break out of the box. Go to the following web site that shows a real-time mind control zombie being manipulated by satellite and the military. www.MindControlUSA.com

KATHMANDU - Some 41 Tibetan refugees fired on by Chinese border guards last month as they entered Nepal have been flown to India, an official from the Tibetan Reception Centre in Kathmandu said Saturday. "The 41 Tibetans refugees who arrived in Kathmandu left for New Delhi on Friday for security reasons," said an official at the Tibetan Reception Centre. The official did not elaborate. The Tibetans arrived in Kathmandu earlier this month after Chinese soldiers opened fire on a group of about 70 people, including children, women, monks and nuns, trying to flee into Nepal on September 30. A nun...

<p>On November 7th Americans will go to the polls to vote in what will probably be the most important mid-term elections ever held in our country. Therefore, I write this article as an appeal to moderate and conservative voters with consciences, whose values I believe now approximate those of the Democratic Party much more than those of the Republican Party. That fact may not be evident to most Americans, since the wealthy and powerful corporations that have gained monopoly control of our national news media over the past several years, and who have showered the Republican Party with uncountable millions of dollars, have worked to conceal the fact that the Republican Party has drifted so far to the right that it is now totally out of touch with the values of ordinary Americans. Indeed, those corporations, who control our voting machines, our news media, and many of our politicians, have gained so much power that even the Democratic Party leadership has drifted to the right of most Americans. Yes, there are rare exceptions of prominent journalists, such as Keith Olberman, who have had the courage to tell it like it is. And now the corruption of the Republican Party has become so great and obvious that even our corporate controlled news media can no longer keep silent about it any longer. But still the extent of the anti-people nature of the agenda of the Republican Party is far from obvious to most Americans.</p>

I can say without an iota of hesitation or regret that I will cast a ballot for a Democrat for only the third time in my 26 years of voting. The only Democrats I ever voted for were Ann Richards for governor on TX against that quack Clayton Williams and for Lloyd Bentsen for Senator from TX. Due to my total disgust with the way the Federal and the state governments have conducted themselves and how they have failed to act in the interest of this country, I will proudly vote a straight Democrat ticket this year and as a...

Millions of anchovies — a protected species in Europe — have died in northern Spain after an unexplained mass beaching, officials said Friday. The fish, all juveniles, were found stranded along large stretches of Colunga beach, 35 miles east of the port city of Gijon, a normally pristine seaside landscape in the verdant province of Asturias. "More than three tons have been found so far, and our main — untested — hypothesis at the moment is that they tried to flee from predators and accidentally beached," said Luis Laria, chief coordinator of a marine protection unit working with the government....

A friend of mine recently was surprised when I told him that I am not voting Republican this fall. "You are one of the most conservative people I know," he said. "Exactly," I said, "and that is precisely why I am not voting Republican." For me, illegal immigration has been the final straw. And the GOP's recent decision to pull funding from Randy Graf's campaign shows the writing on the wall: CONSERVATIVES, YOU ARE NOT WELCOME IN THE GOP. Of course, the GOP will take conservatives' votes and money, but if a real conservative runs for office, he almost certainly...

He said his grandfather's incarceration by the Germans had a profound effect on his mother; that because it was a painful memory, it was almost never discussed. "Some may find it odd that I have not probed deeply into the details of my family history, but it's a fact," Allen said in his statement. Speaking with The Times-Dispatch, Allen said the disclosure is "just an interesting nuance to my background." He added, "I still had a ham sandwich for lunch. And my mother made great pork chops."

To those who think of the Dixie Chicks as "fascists" for putting down the ignorant fool whose "election" fell off a truck in true "Sopranos" fashion, I submit a quote from Huey Long in 1933: "Fascism WILL come to America, but perhaps under another name. It'll be called anti-fascism." If you voted for this guy, you're part of the problem. Look in the mirror and consider yourself responsible for the hatred we've rightfully engendered all over the world. Better yet, get out your passport (if you even have one!) and see for yourself!
-
Certain Republican members of Congress have played the childish game in recent years of referring to the opposition as the “Democrat Party,” hoping to imply that Democrats are not truly democratic. They succeed only in making themselves sound ignorant, and so will you if you imitate them. The name is “Democratic Party.”

I am a conservative Republican, and due to circumstances, I currently recieve SSI, AFDC, and food stamps. I voted for Bush twice and would do so again as he really is a compassionate conservative. Have any other conservatives here ever received government benefits?

Socialism is best because under socialism. No one has to worry about being poor or starving to death. No one is poor, unemployed, discriminated, everyone is equal reguardless or race or creed. Today such ideas are condemned as evil. Any attempt to protest against slavery and genocide and human rights violations are met with the cries of COMMUNISM! By the religious right and then they conjure up stories about Stalin, Gulags, tortue, police state etc. So therefore we must stick with the current system of sweat shop slavery, poverty and racism while rich people who already have all they will...

To my best calculations, this is my 1,000th screen name at Free Republic! This one will undoubtedly soon be banned, and besides this one, I only know of one other that's still active. I first signed on in September 1999, and I only had a dozen screen names for the first two years. But when the fascist mods showed up, the screen names multiplied. On some days I have had as many as 6! Here's to disrupting the most dangerous website in America! You guys are fools for supporting this place.

We ask all Republicans politicians to help the Connecticut Republican candidate win the senate seat up for election on November 7, 2008. We ask you to do this by: 1. Convincing Republican nominee Alan Schlesinger, who has proven to be a weak candidate, to drop out of the race. 2. Replacing Alan Schlesinger with a strong Republican candidate. 3. Accepting the fact that Republicans, like popular Governor Jodi Rell, can win in Connecticut. 4. Stopping all verbal and financial support of Independent Democrat Joe Lieberman, who has pledged to caucus with the Democrats and continue to vote with them on...

I know I'm going to catch hell for this, but it's time to say something. Israel is wrong. There aren't two sides to this anymore. I've heard all I want to hear from Israel. It's time to stop the attack on Hezbollah, withdraw back into Israel, stop firing bombs into Lebanon, and shut up for a while and let everyone else sort this out. It's not just Israel's problem. There are hundreds of millions of lives at stake in the Middle East, and this time not only has an Arab country, and that's what Hezbollah is, withstood Israel's attack, but...
