How do we get Jeb Bush to run as an independent?

Posted on 02/06/2008 9:38:31 AM PST by Ann in RAB

How can we get Jeb Bush to run as an independent? Think about it. In an ordinary year, he would have the baggage of Bush fatigue. But I bet he could win in a three-way race against any Democrat and an unreliable, hotheaded, too old, moderate at best, and not very nice candidate like McCain. This could be Jeb’s time, and the best shot he will ever have. He would have no latino problem, being loved in Florida. Our low turnout compared to the Dems shows us that the party is too dispirited to be successful this year. Jeb Bush is the closest thing to Reagan in or out of organized politics, and I could get very excited about his independent candidacy.

Ho-hum...

Another “helpful suggestion” from the Clinton attack machine...

I am tired of Bush/Clinton/Bush/Clinton and I’m not sure about Jebs stance on illegals, but I would vote for a Bush/Thompson ticket over anything we have at the moment.

Yeah, that's the solution to the problem---another Bush.

Lay off the grass, Ann.

I wonder if all the damn Bush Klan has dual citizenship.

I would as much vote for a Bush today as I would vote for a Clinton or a Kennedy.

As if we don’t have enough problems, now you want to split the Republican vote?

You’re kidding right? I don’t think anyone wants to elect a presidential candidate whose last name is Bush. On the other hand John McCain’s wife’s family owns a big Anheuser-Busch distributorship.

Why don’t “we” get Obama to run as an Independent?

It’s time for people here to grow up. Realistically, we are going to have to chose between McCain and Hillary.

As painful as it is, as adults we have to make choices between bad and worse. It’s called life.

Jeb isn’t run, Fred ran a horrible campaign, he aint going to run again. Make a decision.

We had plenty of conservatives to run, and we failed to support them, so there. Next time if we aren’t obsessed with the *perfect* candidate (eg abortion) we might get to chose between better and worse or fair and worse.

We don’t. We’ve had quite enough of the Bush dynasty, don’t you think?

No more Bush/Clinton dynasties please. Gotta start thinking outside the Bush/Clinton box here.

Good ones. I don’t know if I could or the country could survive another Bush in the White House. That goes double for another Clinton in the White House (with Bubba sneaking/lurking around in the background).
