Hey, if Vince Foster killed himself in the park, and TWA 800 blew up without being hit by a missile, why should anyone question global warming? The government says it’s so, and all the sheep go baaa.

I predict that the new ice age we are entering will somehow be explained as our punishment for driving our cars and heating our homes.

It’s not “Global Warming” anymore...that didn’t sell to the public well enough. The mantra is now “Climate Change”...

Tee hee

Here's the Essay that got me started on Global Warming this morning ( besides my truck being under 50 feet of snow )

Suggested reading -- discusses solar activity, the "Little Ice Age"

the only thing that has been consistently true of "scientific theories" over time is that every one of them is superseded by a new one. If the discussion in the reference is right we gonna freeze out butt, shortly.

But will junk science be exposed? No bet.

One of my very favorite clips is the following, one the nature and Character of the men in government.

Dr Franklin comments on the Nature and Character of men in government

Thank you for the great quotation:

“And of what kind are the men that will strive for this profitable pre-eminence, through all the bustle of cabal, the heat of contention, the infinite mutual abuse of parties, tearing to pieces the best of characters? It will not be the wise and moderate, the lovers of peace and good order, the men fittest for the trust. It will be the bold and the violent, the men of strong passions and indefatigable activity in their selfish pursuits. These will thrust themselves into your government, and be your rulers.”

Dr. Franklin explained well why Fred Thompson lost — over 200 years before it happened!

In return I’d recommend the speeches of Dr. Michael Crichton:

http://michaelcrichton.com/speeches.html

Here is the beginning of “Environmentalism as Religion”:

“I have been asked to talk about what I consider the most important challenge facing mankind, and I have a fundamental answer. The greatest challenge facing mankind is the challenge of distinguishing reality from fantasy, truth from propaganda. Perceiving the truth has always been a challenge to mankind, but in the information age (or as I think of it, the disinformation age) it takes on a special urgency and importance.”

It's now Climate Change so when it gets colder (which its already doing), they can push their same anti-Industrial, anti-American agenda. The name changed because the "consensus" line wasn't working anymore. They too could read the science and it shows no warming for the last 8 or 9 years.

NASA saw this coming several years ago in their long-range forecast (It's going to get hot first, but wait 'til next solar cycle to bundle up a lot!). With a strong knowledge of solar physics, I tend to agree with them as the model appears to be historically accurate. Check out this link:

And if you're interested in looking at historic data, this site has an excellent compilation of graphic charts for starters:

Da Looney left never admits their faults. Dey just crank up the mike and yell louder. Mostly just arguments of ridicule,-- dey like to yell that we are "kooks", "conspiracy theorists", or just "out of the mainstream"

so while I'd be delighted to see Da Looney Left greatly embarrassed over this little goof-up I ain't gonna hold my breath wait'n for 'em to show up and make a red-face apology

I notice a lot of this solar data goes back quite some time. I kinda think da Looney Left has known all along dey was try'n to feed us a bunch of horse crap. But-- what's new?
